The first year and first summer I can remember :D I was only 4, but this really brought back memories :P

Was finishing third grade this month, The vibe was very chill very millennium and futuristic.
Summer 97 was a fun summer. One could say it's the best summer of the 90's.

1997 seems like a mixture of the mid 90s and late 90s, with a tiny bit of late 80s/early 90s elements.

1997 seems like a mixture of the mid 90s and late 90s, with a tiny bit of late 80s/early 90s elements.
97 was a mix of mid 90s things on the way out along with late 90s things slowly replacing it.
97 is a y2k year even tho it is somewhat of a hybrid because by the end of the year there
was not many mid 90s things left.
97 did have songs that were on the radio from 96 and 97 being played...because you need to fill air time.
But the new stuff that was coming in Backstreet, Hanson, 98 degrees were slowly creeping in.

I remember seeing this on Vh1 and noticing how it had elements of Post grunge along with late 90s pop sound.
Some of the style SCREAMS late 90s.

Nowadays indie bands has inspired a lot in that “post-grunge” late 90’s style, overall in fashion
