Guys, how big was Luke Perry? Also, what years were his popularity at peak? I started watching 90210, and I am in love with this guy. He is so cool.

I think he was meant to tap into that whole James Dean teen angst thing. Even drove a similar vehicle to that in which Dean was killed. Both he and Jason Priestly were really popular at that time.

Luke was a popular teen pin-up in 1991 and 1992. He's never really gone away as his fans have kinda grown with him.
