Subject: Fall 1995-Summer 1996 and Fall 1996 to Summer 1997 High School questions

For people who were in HS in 1996:
What were the popular:
-rock bands/sub genres
-fashion styles (ala grunge)
-video games, computer games and consoles
-hairstyles for men and women (ie long hair, medium, Cesar cut, Rachel)
-TV shows and cartoons
In the Fall 1995-June 1996 school year, and then in the Fall 1996 to June 1997 school year? Did you notice any major changes in fashion, hair styles, clothes, and general trends over the course of both school years?

I think curtained hair was very popular among men, and women had this mullet kind of hairstyle.

Beverly Hills 90210's popularity was beginning to wane. Friends started to become popular.

I was in High school in 1996, I was 15 going on 16.
Bands: No Doubt.
Fashion: Lots of earthy tones. I remember thrift stores being fairly popular and retro-vintage clothing were in. There was also plaid. I wore a plaid skirt on my 16th birthday in 1996.
I think the video games and consoles have been discussed many times on here.
