Subject: Top 10 Video Games (1990)

As you can see on this board, yearly Top 10 lists for the greatest video games have been released. I'm opening up 1990, since it was a magical year in my childhood, being the first full year I had an NES. It was the twilight of the 8-bit era, but NES was still king with Sega still lacking a headlining title despite its heavy "Genesis Does" campaign while phasing out the Master System, with the Game Boy now well established giving Nintendo a portable power edge. Sure, most games are shorter, but they are much more easy to understand, provided that it isn't too tough with endless bullet fire, frustrating controls, or no continues. But there was an exciting future ahead, as at the end of the year, Sega had a CD-ROM prototype that would later be reworked to the Sega/Mega CD in 1992 and then later become the new standard for video game software, replacing the dominant cartridges of the time.
Note that these are based on North American releases, though feel free to add your own if released elsewhere.
