You might be confused by the titled of this thread but it's really not that hard. Take each year of the 1990s (1990-1999) and summarize or generalize about what characteristics or facts the average person born in that year has...got it?

For example:

1990 borns:

1. Born in the first year of the 1990s
2. Core childhood from 1995-2000
3. Apart of the high school classes of 2008 and 2009
4. Born when George H.W. Bush was President of the United States

You see? Something like that....you can also do it based on the country you're from (the UK, Canada, Australia or wherever).

1991ers:

1. Born at the tail end of the Cold War
2. The only people born in the 20th century whose birth year is a numeric palindrome
3. Had a core childhood during the dot-com bubble (1997-2001)
4. Are the ultimate Web 2.0 era (2004-2010) teenagers

That would actually apply to people born in 2000, since the 21st Century started on the 1st January 2001.

Eh...all of my friends born in 1998 only have mostly vague memories of 2001 and decent memories of 2002. I have mostly vague memories of 2002 and decent memories of 2003.

Maybe solid was the wrong word, but I was going by my own experiences. Since I have a few decent memories of 1990 and 1991, I thought it reasonable that 1998ers would have at least some decent memories of 2001 and 2002.


In regards to people remembering the first few years of a new decade, I think it could go either way for people born at the end of the previous one. For instance, I don't have many memories of 2002, but the memories I do have are quite clear. They're not as vivid as my memories from 2003 onward, but I can recall them much better than my one or two memories of 2001. In contrast, I have a friend who is just five months younger than me, yet he struggles to remember things from when he was 6 or 7 years old. It all depends on the individual.

1990ers: The true outliers among the 90s babies, having a childhood experience more aligned with those born in 1988/1989 than 1991/1992.

1991ers: Probably the last bunch that can be considered children of the entire mid 90s.

1992ers: The prototypical early 90s babies because they were born post-Soviet and pre-Clinton.

1993ers: The ultimate Y2K/early 00s kids, their core childhood being 1999-2003.

1994ers: The last bunch to be enrolled in K-12 during the 1999-2000 school year.

1995ers: Graduated high school before the transition into the mid 10s.

1996ers: Possibly the last to have real good memories of 9/11.

1997ers: The ultimate 00s kids, their elementary school years being 2002-2008 and core childhood 2003-2007.

The 2000 borns were the last one to be teens in the early 10s which is from 2010 to 2013. It`s also the last group to be born during the 20th century since the 20th century ended in 31st December, 2000. :P

Yeah with the exception of the early 10s born there's nothing to talk about regarding 10s born since there just developing and haven't had a full decade  on Earth yet. Interestingly enough I've played Fortnite with a couple of 10s borns. Crazy how kids born in this decade are kicking butt on Fortnite while most people our age gave up on it or just never understood it.
