For those of us who can remember, when did you/your family first get a computer?
We got our first computer, which was a Packard Bell, in 1995.

I can remember very well, but I do not qualify for this topic for I was not born around 1990!

I was born 1993. We got our first computer in 1997. It was a Fujitsu I believe.

My dad got our first family computer in 1996, we had multiple by 1999... had internet by 1997, broadband by 2001. All of us had our own computer from the time we were 6 years old onwards...

He would always bring home computers that were being retired by his workplace and we would use them! :)

I'm not sure when my family got their first computer. However, the first computer that I remember using was a Dell Dimension, in which my family bought during the early 2000s. It had Windows ME when I first used it.

My dad got our first family computer in 1996, we had multiple by 1999... had internet by 1997, broadband by 2001. All of us had our own computer from the time we were 6 years old onwards...

I got my own laptop when I was 11 in 2004. Before that, we only had one computer in the house. Deciding who's turn it was to use the computer between me, my two brothers and my dad was always an arduous battle ;D Sometimes it got physical....  :-X :-X :-X

Well, I was born before 1990, but I got my first computer in 1996 in the form of the Commodore Amiga 500. It was already an older computer by that point, and had no CD-ROM drive or modem for internet connectivity. My parents got their first computer, a Compaq Presario 5460, in late 1999 and after that we finally got internet access.

I was born in 1999, but I didn't receive my first computer until Christmas in 2010. It was a black Toshiba laptop.

Prior to 2010, we used to have a Windows PC. I'm honestly not too sure when my Mum purchased it, as my first memories of the computer was when I was 4 years old, in 2003. We still had dial-up until 2010. :P

I'm still not sure when my parents bought my Dell Dimension, since it looked like a PC that was built in the late 90s/early 2000s. It did have a sticker that had the old Windows logo (the one Microsoft used up until Windows XP was released).

I think we got ours either in 1998 or '99. That's when I began playing PC games ranging from children's to general ones.

I was born in 1991. I got my first computer in 2002, at age 11. It was my own, too, in my bedroom. And it had internet access. Fun times.  :D

It was Christmas 1986, and it a Commodore 128, just a little something to learning about computers.

I do remember when my family upgraded to this Sony Vaio in 2000/2001. It was installed with Windows 98 and we originally had AOL, until we started using Broadband service offered via cable service in 2003 along with upgrading to XP as well that year. Damn this thing brings me back 8)

I remember my family's Windows 98 computer which we used regularly from 1998-2001, but I only used it for little kid CD-ROM games. I also remember my dad having music playlists on there and using the old versions of Microsoft Word and Internet Explorer.

Speaking about CD-Rom games, while my family didn't have a lot of them I did used to have this Blues Clues game when I was a kid!

This game was my jam when I was like 4/5 years old! It definitely helped since that was probably my favorite Nick Jr show when I was kid ;D

Not all Acer computers had Windows Vista by the time 2009 came. It could've been a different brand that was more popular with the UK.
