Subject: Most Iconic PS1 Game Intros

Written By: ocarinafan96 on 08/24/15 at 5:59 pm

What do you think were the most iconic game intros for the PS1? For me personally these are the ones I would list (note I started gamin during the PS1, so expect a lot of these games to be kiddy/platformers)

What are some of the intros you remember in your childhood? (Assuming you grew up with the ps1 like I did)

I would like to see a few

Honestly, These videos remind how lucky I was to have the N64 over the PS1. My cousin owned PS1 so I played it with him. But man the 64 graphics looked sooooo much better. The PS1 graphics look sooooo dated! Even more dated looking back on it!

Yeah tell me about it. I remember when I was 7 when I got my PS2 and being amazed by the graphics. Now more than 10 years later we have games with photo realistic graphics

Thats true! The N64 was 64 bits while PS1 was only 32 bits. Also the N64 had my favorite game of all time (I think you could guess what that is) and a few other timeless classics. I think in the realm of exclusives the N64 was better but in the realm of third party games PS1 was better. Both systems I get very nostalgic over with and I think both hold up pretty well (gameplay wise)

As a great as ocarnia of time was ;) , Mario 64 still gives me the biggest nostalgia moments of being a gamer of that time and stage of my life!! 8)

For me, you can't beat this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2LCSzmjPj8

At the time, Final Fantasy VIII was the first RPG I'd ever played, and when I watched that intro for the first time, as a kid that grew up on platformers and sports games, I had never in my life seen anything like that in a video game before. It totally blew me away back then, and it still blows me away now 16 years later.
