It's weird how a lot of people still act like 1990 was yesterday. It's nearly as close to 30 years ago as it is to 20, and half the people alive today in the world are too young to remember 1990 when you consider half the people alive today were born in 1985 or later.

I want them back, bring the nineties back. Those who act like it was yesterday are those who can appreciate whatever 90s they could, sure we come off as fools for such strong nostola, but that's what this forum is for. I'll admit I yearn for the 90s, I love what has happened since then, a lot of things are way better than they were then, but I would still love to perpetually, or at least once relive the 90s as an adult. I've said it here before; I'd love to be able to have a room dedicated to the decade. I am crazy, I know this, and yes mu love of the decade is extreme, if a time machine is ever built- which may be long after my death, I hope someone finds this archive, fomes get me, and takes me back there.

It really depends on what country you live in too I think. Like China in the early 90s obviously was way different than it is now. America on the other hand has sort of stagnated over the past quarter century and especially since 9/11 and the fall of the economy.

As someone older than him, I'd have to say 1990/spring of 1991 was most like 1989. The fall of '91/spring of '92 was still a little like '89. The fall of '92 officially kicked off the mid 1990s, but didn't feel like 1993,1994 or 1995. Those were my favorite years growing up, hence my screen name and avatar. I did a lot of dancing in the very early 1990s.

I feel that 1990 (and much of the early 90s) had the most "fad" dances since the early-mid '60s. The Electric Slide, Lambada, everything The Early '90s Guy mentioned. This was likely because the children of those who enjoyed that "1000 dances" wave were having their own moment. At this rate, another "dance fad craze" might happen in a few years as the next generation comes of age.
