Subject: Mad tv (1995 to 2009): Did you watch it?

The show is kind of like Family Guy, very extreme and racy!
Did you watch it? It's funny in my opinion. Quite frankly my mother was too busy to monitor what was appropriate for me to watch. It's not the kind of show you want your seven year old to watch. I started watching it at around eight. I don't think I should have watched it until at least thirteen.

I first started watching that when I was 12 or 13 and finding crude humor funny, it was right up my alley! Stan the Java Man and The Vancome Lady, and Stewart were some of the best characters they had going. My mom wouldn't let me watch SNL when I was 12.

Did she know you were watching Mad tv? SNL is more light compared to Mad tv.

I remember those Oprah Winfrey parodies, which I am strongly sure Oprah herself, hated. But Debra Wilson (I think that's her name) does Oprah so good that I can't help but watch. She also does Whitney Houston, man she can act.

I watched it till about 2002, off and on since then. I remember when it first aired, there was this Who's Line type show that aaired before or after it.

You bet I did! This show was way funnier than SNL from 96 to 02. I liked Will Sasso's Bill Clinton impressions and I also had a huge crush on Nicole Sullivan 8). Oh and "Stewart" and "Rusty" were as funny as all get out. Other Characters I enjoyed were the Coffee guy, Phil Lamar's UPS guy and Ms. Swann. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D.

I kinda watched some sketches on YouTube back in 2008/9. That was probably when I was really into the Powerpuff Girls, and there were some sketches about them. Same with The Sopranos in 2015. Damn, I wish I was born in 1996-98, so that I could remember the early 2000s more.

I miss that show a lot! It was much more worth tuning into every Saturday night than Saturday Night Live.

Yeah. I saw some of the skits, and it seemed better than SNL. Nowadays, there's just doing stuff related to modern pop culture. I know that they do that since their beginning in 1975, but it's not genuine anymore. And I haven't even watched SNL until 2013.

I remember these two skits in particular very well. I was another that preferred MAD TV over SNL for a time. I watched it just about every Saturday night from 1999-2002 or so. I actually didn't even realize that it lasted all the way up to 2009.
Interesting tidbit: Will Sasso actually appeared on WWF Smackdown! in 2002 in character and got stunned by the real Stone Cold Steve Austin.
