Subject: Grunge and Post-Grunge

Grunge at its core was a punk rock movement, and some of the bands were stuck with the label didn't really fit (Alice in Chains and Soundgarden are metal, Pearl Jam is just traditional rock). Early post-grunge was great as well.

Only past bands from the 90s (and maybe some late 80s grunge as well); no Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Shinedown, Daughtry, etc.

Have you checked out Sceaming Trees' earlier works? They're pretty interesting; very psychedelic and somewhat reminiscent of The Doors.
