You know, all those ballads from the early/mid 90's that featured those electric guitar solos? Here are a few that I really like:

Love that song by James Ingram!
1990 was full of songs with that ballad style...look at the list of songs that hit #1 that year:

1991 also had the classic "Everything I Do (I Do it for You)" by Bryan Adams
1992 had "Save the Best for Last" by Vanessa Williams

*facepalm* How can I forget those songs? Thanks for the link! I'm just trying to think of other pop songs that specifically had that electric guitar solo. I was blanking when I started the thread, but I just thought of a few more:
