Subject: i cant remember the name of this TV show..help?

so i remember i saw it a couple of times only..it was a cartoon
it came out in one of those "obscure" channels i didn't really watch..not sure if it was klcs 58 (the other channel of pbs i think)
all i remember is it being about some kids..maybe they travel into a future city or something
and i think there was an alien? i think there were showing how the planet was being polluted and stuff..or smoking was bad >:( cant remember
the most important thing i remember that i am certain was the drawing style of the cartoon..
