Yes, I remember their "Flood" song too.
It's the only song by them I know of and heard, but it's a '90s Christian rock favorite of mine.
It also has a nice acoustic guitar sound that I so love.

Yeah I remember K-Rock out of New York City used to have this song in their rotation in June of 1996 I think. Its kinda strange looking back on it that an alternative rock radio station would have this song in their rotation at that time. I mean what was big then in rock music? The first stage of post grunge and pop-punk were popular at that time in rock music.

I am a 90s Music fanatic and also had a real thing for some of Jars of Clay's stuff - My favourite song was from their album Much Afraid and I really loved the track "Tea and Sympathy"
Great reminder of all that from the OP - Thanks!

Great band. My friend was really into CCM music at the time and they were one of our favorites. I loved the raw sound, acoustic guitar and fretless bass. Flood and Liquid were good songs, along with many others. They also did a great version of Little Drummer Boy which I hear on the radio every Christmas season.
In 1996 my friends and I got together and played some CCM cover songs at some local teen hangouts. From Jars Of Clay we played Flood and Love Song For A Savior. With my 6 string fretless bass and Blue Tube pedal, I came pretty close on the tone.
I remember when we discovered the hidden track in the first album. He just forgot about the CD playing in the car and that's when we heard it. When he got the 2nd album Much Afraid, we found out what the hidden track was. It was a jam session for the making of Weighed Down.

Yeah, I remember the band. Definitely "Flood." That was produced by Adrian Belew. I liked the vocal harmony with the acoustic guitar riff and the electric organ. The song breaks into a pretty string section too.
