Anyways, I have a lot more 90s rap and 90s in general, but I really loved rap at that era.  I was 12 when I raided my brother's rap collection and was listening to rap a lot earlier due to having the BOX channel down here.  I sort of grew out of rap around 2002-2003 though.

That alternative rock guitar sound. Hard to explain, but it's the most 90ish music thing to me. Off the top of my head, The Gin Blossoms have that sound.

Probably sounds weird, since I'm a dude, but Savage Garden's "I Want You" flashes me back to the summer of 1997 everytime I hear it.

I really tried to like Morrissey.  I thought his lyrics were great... but he had that Pink Floyd quality of most of his songs sounding the same...add the monotone voice and it just didn't work for me.  I do like "Everyday Is Like Sunday" but I don't think I could tell any of the others apart.

I liked REM in the 80's too, before all the alt bands were trying to sound like Nirvana.

I'm more of the house/eurodance guy when it comes to songs that really make me wonder "Where did the '90s go?" When I was in school in my P.E. classes, it seems like not a week would pass without hearing one of these songs for a few years. I was never crazy/aware about grunge. I always prefered the uptempo songs (not the crap of the 2000s!) Such songs really made it "the disco of the '90s".
