Subject: 90's TLC show?

I used to watch this show on TLC's Ready Set Learn segment around 1994-1995. I remember it came on around noon, because I'd watch it while I ate lunch either before or after my 1/2 day of preschool. :)
Anyways, all I remember is that the set was like the inside of a spaceship/space station or command center and there was a man who was like the "commander" of the place. I don't remember the story line or if there were any other characters (there probably were, though). I suppose this could be a small part/skit inside another show, but I checked and it wouldn't be part of Skinnamarink TV, because that aired from 1997-2000.
Can anyone help me out?
