Subject: 90s TV shows that showed the ''Other America''?

Written By: Ryan112390 on 02/11/10 at 12:00 am

Hey

I've seen a lot of shows from the '90s (like sitcoms, etc, I mean live action) but most centered around midwestern or western or even Southern, 'normal', working class blue collar people or families. Are there any shows that you know of, live action 90s shows, wherein one of the main characters was a hippie, a long haired person in general or a metal head or a grunge kid, IE, something which focused on counter-culture kind of character or family or group of people--Not your typical All American (tm) family. I mean the Sopranos had that but it was with the subculture of the Mob, and Fresh Prince from Bel Air had that with the early-mid 90s Hip Hop subculture, but I'm talking more of characters in the 90s Grunge or Rock subculture
