Subject: Beavis and Butthead
Written By: batfan2005 on 08/13/09 at 5:42 am
I thought I'd start a thread for Beavis and Butthead. I just bought the Mike Judge Collection, and I'm laughing just as hard as if they were first on MTV. Besides Beavis and Butthead themselves, my favorite characters are Coach Buzzcut, Mr. Van Driesen, and Principal McVicker. I feel like that show defined the 90's, not only due to their popularity, but the music videos they were watching included a lot of 90's alternative rock (and that is where I first heard of some of the bands, and got into them). Also, the 80's backlash is reflected in that show. Hair metal bands such as Poison, Def Leopard, or Nelson are subject to heavy criticism by B&B (they refer to them as wusses).
What are your favorite episodes of Beavis and Butthead? Mine are:
- No Laughing
- Patients Patients
- The Great Cornholio
- Generation In Crisis
- Citizen Butthead (the one with Bill Clinton)
- Huh huh Humbug (the take on "A Christmas Carol")
- Buff N Stuff

"Couch Fishing"
"Stewart's House"
The one where they went to Mexico
"Buttniks" (Cornholio at some poetry club)
"The Great Cornholio"
When they washed Anderson's poodle at the laundry
"No Laughing"
"Sporting Goods"
When they're waiting in line to go to the port-a-potty
When Butt-Head ordered a mail order bride
They even criticiszed MTV, especially while watching Weezer's "Buddy Holly" when they stated that it's mostly shows and snowboarding.
