Donahue really seemed to care. He always had a perplexed look on his face too!

Haha so true. Montel was pure corn, though. I never bought his "caring" act at all.
Ricki Lake was good.

He did have a talk show a few years ago on CNBC or one of those news channels but it was dropped due to low viewership.

When I was little my grandma used to always watch Oprah and she was okay until she got really excited about something and started shouting, like "Okayyyyyy! Yayyyyy!" It was annoying.
I bought Montel's caring act. He seemed really nice. Like his eyes would glitter and it seemed like he was hurting right along with you. ;) Plus he was pretty cute.
Now if I can be a bit sophmoric for a minute. I loved Jerry Springer, not so much because he looked like he cared of had his final thoughts at the end or whatever, but just like everyone else, I was tuning in for the knock down drag outs and outrageous themes like "Drug Dealing Kung Fu Fighting Nuns" or something outlandish like that. I'm not sure it if was always really real or staged, but it did give me and my friends alot to talk about over milk cartons at lunch time at school! ;D
Even got a few scrapes when we'd recreate the fights. LOL.
Mom: How'd you get that scrape on your elbow.
Me: Oh, I found out my boyfriend left me so he could marry a 300 pound hog named Bessie.
Mom: You're ten, you don't need a boyfriend. >:( And besides if he want's another girl, leave him alone.
Me: What girl? I told you, he's marrying a PIG! :o
;D Good times! Good times!
