Subject: need help remembering a song(from 1997)
Written By: jens_pinkflute on 05/03/07 at 2:15 pm
I'll just get right to it. This song went "there's a message that I'm sending, I see it in your eyes.." and something like, " la la la la, la la la la"... it was repeated over and over. It was a kind of up-beat dance song, sounded kind of 70s-ish. Does anyone remember it too? Or did I just imagine it and make a complete idiot of myself on this here message board?
JEE, I HOPE I SPELLED MY WORDS CORRECTLY, E-HEM >:(

You probably might have imagined it. I just googled it and came up empty.
Often times I do that. However, if I google what I think I hear and come up empty, like right now, then I'll know I imagined it.

^ It sounds familar to me, sometimes the search engines won't find it if a few words were a little off, but that doesn't mean someone imagined it. The radio plays older songs, too, so it might've been from before they first heard it.
Anyway, I think it might be "Talk To Me" by Wild Orchid.

Could it be "Sweat (A La La La La Long)" by Inner Circle?

That might be it, except that was a Reggae/Pop/Dance Song. It peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 1993

There was a popular song in 1997 called "Uh La La La" by Alexia ...
To all the people all around the world
uh la la la la la la la la la la la la la la
Uh la la la I love you baby
Uh la la la la love me tonight
Uh la la la I love you baby
Uh la la la la la
I got your love, you got my mind
Can take my hands but you won't take my life
Don't waste my time bring me your love
And baby you can be mine
I never wanted this could happened to me but I feel
Your love is right and I will always be there yeah
You got to be a friend, got to be right
Don't hurt me boy then I will say goodbye
Don't bring me down, don't stand so close
Oh baby don't fool around
I never wanted this could happened to me but I feel
You love is right and I will always be there yeah
You know baby gotta love me tonight it's so right
'Cause you baby you know you make it right
My blood pressure rise high I'm got hype
I don't know why I know you think I'm obsessive
The type or guy I can be over possessive
Giving all that I can give best wishes
On how we live just us two is i really true
Love me tonight till the sky turn blue
Tonight is the night so tell me what you wanna do

I think you're right here are the lyrics
Talk to me
Talk to me
Talk to me tonight about love
Hey now just what are we feeling
Is this more than attraction that we both are dealing with?
And is it in the cards that we stay together?
I recognize the odds against it lasting forever
There's a message that you're sending
I can see it in your eyes
But I don't know what you're thinking
I can't read your heart or mind
Come with me we'll make tonight a fantasy
If you say the word, I'll take you on a journey
Talk to me, tell me what's on your mind
Talk to me, what are you feeling inside
Talk to me, what are you thinking of
Talk to me, tonight about love
Come and talk to me, my baby
Come and talk to me
Ooh, hold me right up against you
Cause when you groove up close to me
I'm feeling your rhythm
Just whisper in my ear what's going on inside you
I just wanna hear if you're feeling like I do
Open up your heart there's nothing I want more
Show me the light and tell me what you came here for
Don't keep it to yourself, just improvise (just improvise)
Lose yourself, let out what you're feeling inside
There's a message that you're sending
I can see it in your eyes
But I don't know what you're thinking
I can't read your heart or mind
If you wanna make tonight a fantasy
Just say the word I'll take you on a journey
Talk to me, tell me what's on your mind
Talk to me, what are you feeling inside
Talk to me, what are you thinking of
Talk to me, tonight about love
Talk to me, tell me that you want this
Talk to me, baby just move your lips
Talk to me, what are you thinking of
Talk to me, tonight about love
Come and talk to me, my baby
Come and talk to me
