Subject: Ernie Reyes Jr.

Remember teen actor Ernie Reyes Jr.?  Whatever happened to him?

He was like a Junior Bruce Lee, seen in the classic movies "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze" and "Surf Ninjas"

I saw both those films in the theatres.  They were cool action-comedies 8)

The last I saw of him was in the movie "The Rundown" with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. He was playing the part of a character named Manito. He is still into martial arts. Below is a photo lifted from wikipedia for you. I hope this helps answer your question.

Man, I totally forgot he was in The Rundown.  I kept thinking the last thing I saw him in was a cameo in Rush Hour 2

I see your Surf Ninjas from 1993 and raise you the original from 1987:

Troma's 1987 Surf Nazis Must Die was the ultimate D-movie parody of the surf genre.

Owe you a shot of karma for the walk down memory lane - I knew I'd seen that poster before.

If you liked it, or could even tolerate it (remember, it's a B-movie, so take your low expectations and lower 'em a few notches lower than that!), you'll also dig The Toxic Avenger (ZOMG, there was even a theatrical/musical stage production, and it's coming back in 2012!) Class of Nuke 'em High, and Tromeo and Juliet

(Now you made me look.  I'm pleased to report that Troma films is still in business.  And now I have a whole boatload of stuff to add to the queue :)

And now for Something Positive.  (SFW images, occasional naughty words.  Start of an epic two-week story arc when S*P went to an anime con.)
