any of you UK characters familiar with the acid jazz band corduroy? they were pretty much my favorite band of all time between medeski martin and wood and hanzel und gretyl, betwitx, oh, say, 2000 and 2004.

and nobody knows they even existed! they were a british dance jazz band who were huge in, um, japan, and broke up in 2000, 2001. i think some of the members went on to do miscellanous techno-house stuff but i haven't been as fastidious about keeping with them as i should be.

anyone know of them? particularly you guys on that funny little island? ???

choice tracks include red mercury and magic carpet from out of here, how to steal the world and ponytail from dad man cat (although forget about it, that whole album is unbelievably perfect!), the frighteners,"follow that arab" (look, they're satirical, okay?) and very yeah from high havoc.

and pretty much clik! in its entirety. unbelievable CD!

I use this device in my brain that is a version of a "mouse over" effect.  So when I'm looking at you I'm really seeing Tia....but if I need to find you in a crowd, i un-mouse and see the real you.
I think I've only had to spot you in a crowd once..but that's how I did it.

probably dad man cat, then high havoc, then clik!, then out of here, then new you. dad man cat is awesome; HH i actually think is better but a little less accessible, clik! is sorta a departure into techno euroness so although a good album is not indicative; out of here is actually very cheesy but i like it, and new you is actually just not good. it has one good song on it.
