Ever heard of a Christian comedy-punk band called Lust Control?
Their 1992 hit "The Big 'M'" is one for the "To be heard to be believed" books.

Uhmm....no.
However, I can think of other Christian rock bands that were popular during the 1990's.
Jars Of Clay...had a hit in 1996 with "Flood." O0
DC Talk...1996/97 crossover hit with "Just Between You And Me."

Yeah, I was really into Jars of Clay and D.C. Talk back in those days.

"Flood" was pretty cool....my cousin actually got to meet Jars of Clay in like '97. I saw a picture with her and them.

I remember two distinct mixes of that record. One with/without the violin solo in the middle.
Whenever "Flood" is played on 98.9 KYIS-FM in Oklahoma City, it's the edited version that omits the violin middle.

For Christian or inspirational songs of the '90s
Good picks on the previous mentioned
Flood -- Jars of Clay
Just Between You And Me -- DC Talk
(a couple of favorites for me)
And these aren't "Rock" but could be counted in that group...
Place in This World -- Michael W. Smith
Why We Sing -- Kirk Franklin & the Family (he had another good one out in the late '90s but I don't remember its name)
Optimistic -- Sounds of Blackness
And do these count ?
Counting Blue Cars -- Dishwalla
If I Ever Lose My Faith In You -- Sting
(maybe not ;D )
