Subject: Top 20 Radio Play Charts of the 90s
Written By: Derek06 on 06/06/06 at 8:00 pm
I posted this link in another thread. It seems like you guys are limited in only posting the Billboard Sales chart. The link below is the weekly top 20 chart, measured by R & R, that counted up how many times a song got played on the radio on EVERY working CHR/Pop station in the United States. There is a 90s section to this site. Anyway, I think you guys will like this, becuase it measures what YOU listened to on the radio back in the 90s, pretty much. And MANY artists who didn't make # 1 on the Sales chart, made it to #1 on the radio play chart (for example, Real McCoys "Another Night" was the most played song of 1994, meaning it was the #1 pop radio song of 1994). Check out the site, and all of it's sections.

Wow, thanks man! It's great to see an actual list of which songs got the Most Radio Play during each '90s year
I just looked at the #1's for each year, Here are the #1 Songs
1990 - "Escapade" by Janet Jackson
1991 - "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)" by Bryan Adams
1992 - "End Of The Road" by Boyz II Men
1993 - "Two Princes" by Spin Doctors
1994 - "Another Night" by Real McCoy
1995 - "Name" by Goo Goo Dolls
1996 - "Don't Speak" by No Doubt
1997 - "You Were Meant For Me" by Jewel
1998 - "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls
1999 - "Smooth" by Santana & Rob Thomas ("Slide" by Goo Goo Dolls is 2nd)
So that means the Goo Goo Dolls came close to having 3 of the most played songs of the '90s
