I would have to go with the Mid 90's. A lot of good music came out in those years, and it was back in my high school days.

Culturally, 1990-1993, but in terms of what I remember, I liked the late '90s alot.

Mid 90s are my most nostalgically remembered/sentimental period. The true 'heart' of my childhood (which spanned the years 1994, 1995 and early 1996).

I picked early 90s.  WWE was at it's best(especially because Hulk Hogan's career was coming to an end), the New York Rangers were becoming a good team(especially after getting Messier in October 1991), sitcoms were at it's peak(Step by Step, Family Matters, Perfect Strangers, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Roseanne, Hangin with Mr. Cooper), the riots in Crown Heights in Brooklyn, New York in March 1991(the riots were very sad but the good part about it was that it cost mayor David Dinkins any hope of a second term).

I picked late 90s as they were much more exciting personally. The early 90s were great too as they were a continuation of the 80s. Mid-90s were kinda boring... music, fashion... bad!

The more I think about it, the more I prefer the charts of the late 90s to the early 90s. I' meaning more 1997-98, before the Boy bands hit. Even the worst of it - Aqua-esque teen pop- wasn't as bad as 00s teen pop. I liked A/C stuff like Natalie Imbruglia.etc

Yeah, Natalie (originally off the Aussie sitcom 'Neighbours') peaked about 1998, sort of dabbled with acting.etc, before staging a brief 'comeback' in 2005. She's now married to Silverchair (another great Aussie prescence on the airwaves in the late 90s along with Powderfinger, Savage Garden.etc) frontman Daniel Johns.
