Even though "Roseanne" began in 1988, I decided to put it in the 90's section since most of the show spanned over that particular decade.



I would have to say that Roseanne, Jackie, and Darlene are my three favorites. They all have attitude and don't take crap from anyone! :)

Faves: Dan, Jackie, and Darlene

Least faves: David and Becky (either one, I hated with a passion - more so the first one though. She was a spoiled pain in the ass).

I voted Darlene but thinking about it I would've voted Jackie instead. I also loved the Roseanne and David scenes.

Roseanne, takes no crap off of anyone.  The second Becky.  The first one played a great teenager with her attitude, but when she came back to the show the attitude was still there and I wanted to smack her.  Also, Other.  I loved Booker.  Too bad he couldn't stick around the show...George Clooney is a pleasure to look at.

I liked Roseanne and Darlene.  My third was David who was the perfect foil for both.

Other than Roseanne herself, it's a toss-up between Jackie and Darlene. Darlene wins out by a slight margin 'coz I had a crush on her.

Roseanne was still a sit-com, but it the Connor family was closer to a real family than what sit-coms usually portray. Their standard of living was average. Most sit-com families portrayed as "middle class" on sit-coms would actually be wealthy in real life. The Connors also had problems--including some dark ones--that did not get solved in 23 minutes.

The Bundys were also a dysfunctional family, but "Married With Childre" was a different kind of show, more of a burlesque than a sit-com. Huge MWC fan here, BTW!

everyone that drove her nuts.....Jackie is a close runner up.  I hated Becky...the girl was horrible...so was the actress.

I liked Darlene and reminded me of me when I was growing up.

Roseanne reminds me of my mum.
