Subject: MC Hammer's Pants
Written By: MCHammer on 05/06/06 at 1:19 pm
Bonjour!
I have been looking EVERYWHERE ::) on the web including Islamic men clothing (!) for some info where to buy the type of pants.. MC Hammer used to wear (the baggy, baggy type, you know...) and this is how I bumped into 00s.com. This topic was raised on this site last year I think. I have checked the links but nothing came up from these. Any new ideas in 2006 ?? :)

^ unless he needed more fabric to cover what he did have ;D
My dad had a pair of "MC Hammer" pants - highly stylish back in the late 80's-early 90's, after that time, they were never quite shown again and discarded quickly.

If that was the case he would be dragging it along the floor. ;D

My dad actually bought the licensed M.C. Hammer pants sewing PATTERN!
He had my aunt make him about 6 pairs in horrible neon print which he still wears to this day.
I swear to God I have to ASK him NOT to wear them in public.
(Im almost 30 so just picture that in your head!)
I should check my moms old sewing drawer and see if htat patterens still in there:)

Ok, I just can't believe it. My parents never throw anything away. It has to have been at least 20 years and my mom still has the Hammer pants Pattern! The only truly horrible thing here is that my dad (in his 50s) wont let me sell it because he wants ANOTHER FEW PAIRS made. I'm all in favor of 80's fashion making a comeback but I cringe to think what i may have inspired by reminding him this thing still exists!

A while back somebody else was asking where to get MC Hammer pants! I consider Hammer a '90s phenomenon, he got super-popular in 1990.

He did get very popular in the 90s but he changed his look drastically. He lost the M.C. and just called himself Hammer. The hammer pants were from his earlier days. According to wikipedia the song Cant touch this was released 1990 but recorded 1989. Talk about being right on the line. :P
