1996 - The Daily Show
1997 - Buffy the Vampire Slayer (one of my favourite shows)
1998 - That '70s Show
1999 - Futurama, or maybe Angel

I still strongly resent Cordelia's demise on the last season of Angel -- she was a far better character than stiff, boring old Angel himself, and was the main reason I ever even watched the show -- hence my reticence about 1999. Most of the "nones" are because I'm unfamiliar with most of the shows debuting that year -- it doesn't necessarily mean that they all met with my disapproval. ;)

That show is STILL on?!!! Thankfully, it hasn't aired over here since like 2001. I remember it was pretty big around 2000.
