Who else here loves them? I'm just discovering them now, and they're such great '90s funk...the rap element is good, it isn't like rap now. Their songs are just about the catchiest I can think of from recent years.

En Vogue made some very good music. Fine choice.

One thing I liked about hip-hop before 1993 or so was that it usually had some sort of a serious message about something or other, while remaining fun. Now it's about having golden teeth. As example, here's the lyrics to "Free Your Mind." Great, huh? No mention of a stripper's behind. There were also more "empowered" female rappers in the '90s, like Queen Latifah, who grew up in the town just south of me.:
