What from the '90s will get the '10s nostalgia treatment and inspire the new decade? Alot of it, as had been said many times on this site, will probably get lumped in with the '00s, it'll probably focus on the early-mid '90s. Here's my opinion as to what will:

-Grunge music pre-commercialization.
-The whole Pulp Fiction generation of movies and lots of other '90s movies, including the romantic comedies and all the episodic movies like Short Cuts, etc.
-Alternative music like the Pixies, etc.
-'90s sitcoms, probably all of them, but more the early-mid '90s ones.
-The neon, really cheesy spirit of hip-hop and dance music that decade.
-Soft soul music and "slow jam" music.
-The whole grungier look, piercings, the Edward Furlong look, less high fashion and hipness, etc.
-'90s cartoons, both adult and kids; possible backlash against computer animation.

I think '90s nostalgia will begin in 2008, but won't really take off in a real way until the late 2010s.  Even '80s nostalgia is still pretty young.

Grunge definetly.

I think '90s nostalgia will start happening for the early-mid '90s about 2009, in a noticeable way, and take off in the early 2010s...but it'll mostly be for the aforementioned stuff and neglect most of what happened after '95 or '96.

I doubt anyone will be nostalgic about that junk.  Maybe the Early 90's Hip-Hop of Public Enemy, Tribe Called Quest, Eric B & Rakim and Wu-Tang, but that's the only rap anyone could possibly be nostalgic for (It was the only quality Hip-Hop ever produced)
