*More boxy cars, since most were from the 1980s and early '90s
*Desktop computers (big and clunky compared to today's)
*More cluttered than '00s, VHS tapes on shelves
*Hi-tech looking TVs, mixed in with older ones
*Digital clocks
*Grungy, dirty look

*Less electric lighting in fashion, more streaming natural light.

Polished hardwood floors or ceramic tile floors
Wood or leather furniture
Walkway and garden lights
Gas fireplaces
Kitchens in taupe/rosey shades
Ivory/taupe covered walls
Teenage boy's room in grey and black
More domestic and conservative than the '80s

Yeah, patios and walkway/garden lights were very in during the '90s, it was a pretty outdoors-oriented decade. And leather furniture was incredibly popular. I also think French doors and hardwood floors became popular during the 1990s, and fireplaces were sort of in style.

I'd say the '00s are even more urban. But yeah, that pretty much sums up the feeling. Also, the '90s were more "dirty" looking than today.
