Subject: Dave Grohl's Demos (1992) Pocketwatch
Written By: Juan on 02/14/06 at 12:56 pm
have u listen to Dave's old demos he recorded in 1992, by the seudonym Late! and the album is "Pocketwatch"
I heard it and i think it's awesome!!!!!!
There is a track (number 3) called "Friend of a Friend", and Dave included this track in his new album "In your honor" 11 years after the demo
This track reminds me so much the 90's, and its a better version than "In your honor", its more raw and u can hear Dave's old voice (Nirvana's backing vocals and early foo Fighters songs). Pretty nice and highly recommended.
Late! "Pocketwatch" 1992
1) Pokey the little puppy
2) Petrol CB*
3) Friend of a Friend*
4)Throwing needles
5)Just another story about Skeeter Thompson
6) Color Pictures of Marigold**
7) Hell's Garden
8) Winneago
9) Bruce
10) Milk *
* Highly Recomended tracks
** This track is awesome, and Nirvana recorded this track but simple titled "Marigold", u can hear it on CD 3 of "With The lights out" boxset with krist on bass, kurt on guitar and dave on drums, dave sings it
Juan
If u really feel nostalgic about the 90's , u won't miss this thing

Dave Grohl was the drummer on Killing Joke's 2003 self-titled album that featured the smash hit Loose Cannon. Great song and album :)

hate killing joke, they say nirvana stole the "eighties" main riff and use it in "Come as you are"
and...what does killing joke have anything to do with dave's demos??!?!?!

Nirvana did steal it. "Eighties" is a classic. Nirvana ripped it off and destroyed it :\'(

Nothing really. I just saw the name Dave Grohl, and thought I'd mention Killing Joke as there are lots of Dave Grohl fans who I bet didn't know he appears on the KJ album
