Subject: early 90's computer game

I've been wondering about this particular computer game my sisters and I used to play back in the early 90's. I'm pretty sure its a 90's game but it could have been made in the 80's. It entails typing in commands to make your character interact with his envrionment. If I remember correctly, your plane crashes and your wife/friend?? gets bitten by a snake and its up to you to explore the jungle in order to find a remedy before they die. It's gonna drive me crazy If I can't find out whats its called and if I can get it! Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!
