Jim Carrey had a lot of awesome movies in the 90's but I still say Dumb & Dumber beats all of them. :D

Darnit!!! It didn't post the other 4 options I had. The other 4 were:
The Cable Guy (1996)
Liar Liar (1997)
The Truman Show (1998)
Man on the Moon (1999)

You can? I can't seem to find the option to do it. If I click "Modify", I can only modify my post, but not the poll. Hope I can figure this out, hehe.

Anyway, I say "Dumb and Dumber", hands down :D

There should be an option in the poll that says "Edit Poll" :)

Bleh, for some reason there's no option on my computer for that. Thanks for your help though. :)

Jim Carrey is/was one of my favorite comedy actors (though there are many!) in the mid 90's. The first two thirds of the decade was gold for these kind of "dumb and lighthearted but feelgood" movies.
The first one I saw was Ace Ventura 1. Of course the easygoing humor was the main thing that drew me into it (if you think about it, Ace really was like an overgrown 12 year old with no shortage of dumb humor and wisecracks that came naturally - but he was a good guy of course!).
The fact it was set in the Miami area (I'm from there), as well as having the police/detective story unfolding, were kinda like icing on the cake too.
But, Dumb and Dumber is so close to being up there too! Overall, I will go with Ace Ventura, although very narrowly. I think just because of the characters. Now they both were obviously made of the same humor, but AV also had smart moments too, and you knew Ace -- despite his personality -- really was smart and was on a serious case.
I can't see Lloyd figuring out alot of that stuff! ;D

'The Truman Show'. I never get tired of watching this movie...I mean, can you imagine what it would be like if you discovered your whole life was just a complete setup?!
The stuff nightmares are made of. :o

^ I think that was a few years ahead of its time in 1997 - it would totally fit with today's reality TV, lol. ;)
Anyway, maybe I should give it another chance. I only saw it once - back in the theatre when it came out. At the time I was bored to tears because I thought having Jim Carrey in it, that it was gonna be another Dumb & Dumber. It's much more of a slower-paced "thinking" movie though.

I'm surprised there haven't been more votes for "Liar, Liar". When that flick came out, my dad and I went to see it. I honestly didn't think he would appreciate Jim Carrey's brand of comedy, but he loved it. "The Mask" is another good 'un.

I"m sorry but I don't think there are good Jim Carrey movies.
Cable guy was good, but not good enough for me.
