Homer is the man - he's such a dork, but in the coolest sense of the word. I think it would be great to have a friend like that, he'd be fun to hang around.
It's almost a paradox, just the idea that an accident prone slacker/goofball like him would be in charge of safety at a nuclear power plant (that's one aspect of the show I'm glad is completely fictional!!). ;)
Truth be told, I really do like everyone on the show - they're all a team and wouldn't be the same without each other. If we're going on secondary characters, Otto and Cletus would be my picks. Maybe Mrs. Krabappel too (though that could be attributed to my lifelong "older woman/teacher crush" thing, LOL!).

Well the "main" characters would probably be the family.
Of them, Homer and Bart would be my faves. Homer because he's funny. Bart because I always get a kick out of his crank calls. ;D
