Subject: a rare pair of jeans

Around 1990, there was a style of jeans worn by guys that was unlike anything else. They were very tight around the buttocks and had no pockets on the rear. The front looked like it had a couple of flaps at the top that were brought together when they were buttoned. anyone know the name of these pants?
