Subject: If you could have only 15 Songs for a 90's Music CD...
Written By: Mac1 on 08/31/05 at 2:27 am
Which would you choose if you had to choose only 15 songs from the 90's to compile your own "Best of the 90's" CD (ONLY Mainstream Songs that were Chart Toppers)
1: "You Oughta Know" - Alanis Morissette
2: "Semi Charmed Life" - Third Eye Blind
3: "Missing" - Everything But The Girl
4: "Breakfast At Tiffany's" - Deep Blue Something
5: "Kiss From A Rose" - Seal
6: "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - Nirvana
7: "Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand" - Primitive Radio Gods
8: "Bittersweet Symphony" - The Verve
9: "I Believe" - Blessid Union of Souls
10: "How Bizarre" by OMC
11: "December" - Collective Soul
12: "Crash Into Me" - Dave Matthews Band
13: "Good Riddance" - Green Day
14: "You Gotta Be" - Des'ree
15: "She's So High" - Tal Bachman
I know I don't have very much "Early" 90's Music, but oh well
How about you guys...

I do know more about the early 1990's music. But I'd pick the four songs I took from your list to be on my CD. Now do they really need to have made it to the very Top of the charts; because I'm fairly certain not all the rest of my 11 songs did?:
1: "Breakfast At Tiffany's" - Deep Blue Something
2: "Kiss From A Rose" - Seal
3: "Good Riddance" - Green Day
4: "She's So High" - Tal Bachman
..
The other 11 on my CD:
5: "Walking In Memphis" - Marc Cohn
6: "Church Of Logic, Sin & Love" - the Men
7: "Walking On Broken Glass" - Annie Lennox
8: "Come Undone" - Duran Duran
9: "I Know" - Dionne Farris
10: "Champaign Supernova" - Oasis
11: "Ironic" - Alanis Morissette
12: "Black Hole Sun" - Soundgarden
13: "The Way" - Fastball
14: "Anything But Down" - Sheryl Crow
15: "Iris" - Goo Goo Dolls

I agree with this list but i think i would replace OMC with a Madonna song, and maybe Tal Bachman with something in the hard rock genre

Some great stuff mentioned already. :)
I consider the "90s" 90's to be roughly late 1991-98. I'm gonna pick some 80s holdover songs (highlighted in blue) from the very early 90's though.
Mine would go a bit like this:
When I Come Around - GreenDay
How Do You Talk to an Angel - The Heights
Love is All Around - Wet Wet Wet
Hold On - Wilson Philips
Semi-charmed Life - Third Eye Blind
Enter Sandman - Metallica
All I Wanna Do - Sheryl Crow
Roll to Me - Del Amitri
Meet Virginia - Train
To Be With You - Mr Big
I Can Love You Like That - All 4 One
The Sign - Ace of Base
Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World - U2
Little Miss Can't Be Wrong - Spin Doctors
Everyday - Phil Collins

1. "Temple Of Dreams" - Messiah
2. "Sex On The Streets" - Pizzaman
3. "Up To No Good" - Porn Kings
4. "High" - Hyper Go-Go
5. "Fee Fi Fo Fum" - Candy Girls
6. "By Your Side" - Jimmy Sommerville
7. "Far Out" - Sonz Of A Loop Da Loop Era
8. "Next Is The E" - Moby
9. "Spice" - EON
10. "Set U Free" - Planet Soul
11. "Hypnotize" - Notorious B.I.G.
12. "Return Of The Mack" - Mark Morrison
13. "Regulate" - Warren G
14. "Now!" - O(+>
15. "Our Love Would Be Much Better (If I Gave A Damn About You) - DAG

Thanks for being Smartasses. First off, it wasn't a Demand. I never TOLD you to post in this topic, I never put a damn gun to your head, did I? If you're going to reply to a Topic like this, atleast try paying attention before making your own damn rules on my topic. And What does it matter if I'm registered or not? The reason I won't register on this Message Board is because I don't want to give out my E-Mail to the site when I register because they will obviously send me tons of spam (Happens all the time), and that's why I Never sign up on Message Boards (Thank goodness this has a "Guest" feature)
And you say I'm a former registered poster who got banned or whatever, and that's not even true. But of course you feel save saying that because you know that I have no proof of that (No one would), so you feel you can try and piss me off with your dumb little smiley faces. Dumb White Frat Boys

You're welcome. I'll continue to be a smartass as I see fit. I never said you forced me to post in this thread. I posted. I didn't pay attention. So what? You get your panties in a wad over it? Pfft.
And as far as being spammed, I've been a member on and off at this board since 1999, and have never received any spam from the site.
Dumb White Frat Boys? Never was one. Guess we both had each other wrong.

I've never ever had any spam from registering on this site. You can choose the option to hide your e-mail address so no one can use it unless you tell them what it is. There is no other way for them to get access to it.
