I thought they were both pretty awsome on the Surreal life (Rob VanWinkle craacked me up so hard)
But as for their music...
...neither.

I'm now a fan of Eminem, and he reminds me of Vanilla Ice.

Nope, different song, Eminem's features the voices of the "Kids" in the TV cartoon series South Park. Also the words/lyrics are totally different from Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue.

Perhaps it is because you cannot receive Channel 5 on the south coast, it is the same for the people of Kent.

I like that song, too. It's really funny.
But seriously, Eminem and Vanilla Ice have absolutely NOTHING in common other than the color of their skin. One is extremely talented and the other is not, one is actually "from the streets" and the other is not; it's no contest.
But between Ice and Hammer? Stop! Hammer Time!

Vanilla Ice was the talentless one and Eminem isn't.

At least Hammer got permission before he copied somebody else's songs... and paid royalties. Ice just stole them and tried to claim them for his own.
And look at who had the longer career, and who had more different songs. I can only think of 1 Ice song, but 5 or 6 from Hammer leap to mind.

Are either really '90s acts. I think one can make a case for both being '80s holdovers. I'm pretty sure "Ice Ice Baby" was recorded in 1989 anyway.
