There's definitely some similarities, but I wouldn't call them that alike each other. Lenny is more across the board (soul, pop, retro, hard rock) whereas Jimi was more of a groundbreaking guitaritst.
Interestingly, the first Lenny Kravitz song I knew - "It Ain't Over till it's Over" back in about 1992 - was a little more of an "oldies" styled pop song than anything he's done since. Although I do like some of his more recent hits around 2000/2001 like "Dig in" and "Again."

There is no comparison between these two.
I'd agree. Don't remember Mr Crevice doing anything very ground-breaking, whereas the same can't be said for our Jimi! :D
