Subject: "MTV Top 10 Animated Music Videos" hosted by Daria transcript
Written By: woops on 10/22/04 at 11:48 pm
Origianally aired: June 28, 1998 on MTV
Hosted by 'Daria Morgandoffer' & her friend 'Jane' from the cartoon "Daria" (Voices: doesn't state & I don't remember)
It was part of the "All Time Top Ten" series that ran on MTV in 1997/1998.
http://www.outpost-daria.com/ts_top10.html
Here's the top 10 animated videos:
10. Oasis "All Around The World"
Barely remember , but I remember that Oasis was still popular at the time this MTV special aired. It's supposed to be a homage to the Beatles' "Yellow Submarine", which I haven't seen for a while.
9. Tom Petty "Runnin' Down A Dream"
8. Alice In Chians "I Stay Away"
7. a-ha "Take On Me"
IMO, should be #1. 8)
6. Tool "Sober"
5. Michael Jackson "Leave Me Alone"
Better off at # 10. IMO, a good video, but not one of his best.
4. Radiohead "Paranod Android"
The Top 3 is listed on the transcript. :)
And the #2 video is a bit of a suprise.
And I think the #1 video could be ranked as #2 & the second video can be ranked at #7.
Hint: Features two main characters from an MTV cartoon that Daria was a recurring character on.
What's your opinion? On the list, the transcript, or Daria. Good or Bad.

Oasis' "All Around The World" (1998) and Radiohead's "Paranoid Android" (1997) are amongst the worst ones I have ever seen. I haven't seen Alice In Chains and Tom Petty ones to be able to comment yet. A-HA and Michael Jackson ones are cute. While Tool's "Sober" (1993) is very impressive.
My favourite all time animated videos are Elvis Costello's "Accidents Will Happen" (1979) and Tom Tom Club's "Genius Of Love" (1981).

Im really surprised as to no mention of "Money For Nothing" by Dire Straits. That was some pretty advanced 3D computer animation for its time.

It was mentioned. (The bottom of the teanscript)
As the 3rd video of the list.
#3... Dire Straits "Money For Nothing"
#2. Red Hot Chili Peppers "Love Rollercoaster" Like it, but shouldn't be ranked as the #2 animated video
#1 Peter Gabriel "Sledgehammer" Possibly because it won 9 Video Music Awards.
