I am trying to find the name of  a cartoon from the late 80's-early 90's.  I watched it on our local ABC station after I had walked home from school, but it might have been on another one somewhere else.  The lead character had a .30-.30 which in that world was the best, most powerful gun.  He also had a horse that was either a robot or had some type of armor.  I seem to remember that the hero was a humanoid cow but that could be a blending of the cartoon I am thinking of and "The Cowboys of Moo Mesa" which came at least three or four years after the cartoon I am thinking of.  Any help would be appreciated, even if someone else just remembers it, it would mean a lot just so I can prove I am not crazy.
