Subject: Your Favourite '90s Mega Hit

As in the "'80s Mega Hit" case, a single had to be Number One on the both sides of the Atlantic to become a mega hit. Choose your favourite one, please!

"Nothing Compares 2 U", "Vogue", "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" (1991!) and "Gangsta's Paradise" all are great songs. But IMO none of them can match vast brilliance of "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)". Marvellous song!

It's sad but out of 21 of those songs listed there are only 2 or 3 worth listening to. Many of the artists listed have done better songs than those shown.
I went with Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise". I hate the lyrics, they're dumb, but I love that choral music.
;)

Coolio 8)
Though the list lacks "Grunge" bands like Nirvana & Pearl Jam and a lot of alternative rockers.

I voted for End of the Road.
I remember Baby One More Time debuting in late 1998, though.

That's true, Chris.
I was relying more on its original UK release on its point. But shoud've done it your way definitely.

"Nothing Compares 2 U"
Thats one of my favorites.

For some reason I cant stand that song. To me it is extremely overrated.

It surely is. I don't deny it. It's structure of the song that appeals to me. "Nothing Compares 2 U" is a class song. No doubt.

I'll always have a soft spot for Bryan Adams' "Everything I Do (I Do it For You)".

Gangsta's Paradise (though the lyrics aren't dumb). The use of Stevie Wonder's "Pasttime Paradise" was excellent.

I'm not a big Madonna fan or a big 90s fan, but Vogue really heralded the start of a new decade!

There are a few I would vote for. Nevertheless I finally voted for Britney Spears, not only for the song itself but also for the video clip. :P
