I kinda liked when they were on Thursday nights (as I recall, they were on Thursdays from August 23, 1990, to some time in 1994). Since they moved back to Sunday, I haven't really been watching them; I only watch the reruns.

I gotta agree with nally, Fred, and Sylence. I don't know why they changed it back to Sundays ten years ago.

wow- i dont even remember a time when they werent on sunday. and im not even that young, im 18-- and i was watching simpsons since the beginning... hmm...

Trust us, you're very young. If you're 18, then you were way too young to accurately remember the late 80s or even the early 1990s when The Simpsons were brand new and a novelty on Thursday nights.
Oh and I agree with the majority here, I liked it much, much better on Thursday nights too. The show seemed more magical on Thursday nights. I remember kids at school would eagerly wait for the upcoming episode on Thursday, and then we would talk about it on Friday, even teachers would join in the conversation and laugh with us. It gets preempted a lot on Sunday nights by various Fox sports games, I hate that. I remember how they challenged The Cosby Show and the original "must see TV" lineup (Cheers, Night Court) in the Thursday night time slot.

I remember when they were on Thursday night. I was about eight when they first came on and I used to try to watch them every week, but my mom didn't like them so I never got to watch regulary until '99, when my brother got a TV in his room. I didn't realize they were on Thurdsay nights until '94 though. I thought they had been moved to Sunday before then. ??? I guess I prefer them on Sunday, since that's the only place I've really watched.

Being a 90's boy, I prefer my Simpsons on Tuesday, X-Files on Friday.

As far as I can tell, Lisa Boner's career was over as soon as she married Lenny Kravitz and then thought she had it made.

I like them on Sundays. I have too many things to watch on Thursdays.
