Just my opinion:
I don't think of the 1990's as having "video stars" like the 1980's did with Duran Duran, Madonna and Michael Jackson.
There just wasn't a group or performer who was consistently high enough on the charts through the entire decade who was also known for their excellent videos. IMO, the art that video was died at the end of the 1980's. MTV is a testament to that.

I'm not the hugest Tool fan, but their videos were awesome, all the stop motion work

I also went with Tool. Their videos were so weird that you had to watch! Remember those little white puppet/skeleton things? I still don't know what they were supposed to be.

TOOL or Aphex Twin. But since the latter is not on the list I chose TOOL.

I have to agree with Hairspray on this one. There were really no artists that stuck out as consistently putting out good videos. If I was asked who dominated or defined the 90's in terms of videos, I would have to tell them no one.

Other: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Although I also would have voted for my runner up, Siouxshie and the Banshees, if they'd have been on the poll.

BRITNEY OF COURSE. I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T LIKE HER BUT SHE DEFINATELY KNEW HOW TO USE VIDEOS TO SELL HER MUSIC. ALTHOUGH YOU COULD SAY SHES MORE OF A 2000S STAR BUT SHE DID START OUT IN 1998.
