Note: We are only rating 'Seinfeld', not the other shows. Please do not comment on the other shows, since this is my poll. Thank you. ;)

IndyGent, I am just going to comment on the poll itself...I'd have chosen to put Seinfeld up there WITH M*A*S*H & Cheers...but it's not an option...it's either not quite with them or it's above them in being the king of all.... :-\\

I admire your honesty, too, RnRF, so I just changed Option Two and Option Three. I hope that helps a little. ;)

Along with "WKRP in Cincinnati","MASH", "Mary Tyler Moore", the early "SNL", and "Cheers", "Seinfeld" is one of the best.
(I love Jerry, Georgie Boy, The K-Man, Elanie, Newman, J.Peterman, Frank & Estelle Costanza and the Soup Nazi...)
;D

Still king of all sitcoms for me.
When I watch it now, I laugh just as much as when I first saw them.

Very funny, in the league with 'MASH' or 'Cheers'
That left me in a quandry, Indy, because I loved MASH and detested Cheers :o So I put it up there with MASH ;)

I agree with Fussy in comparing M*A*S*H with the show Cheers. Cheers always seemed to me to be gratuitously sleazy and lowest-common-denominator. M*A*S*H usually had an underlying moral to the story. :)
There is no way that Cheers could have pulled off the Seinfeld "The Contest" episode without it just being sleazy and cheesy. But I can easily see the cast of M*A*S*H doing it with equal aplomb and subtlety to the Seinfeld masterpiece. ;D
Now why can't we get some more Aussie programming here in the states? I'm getting kind of tired of the Crocodile Guy. :-\\

Ah ! Thank you very much ! :)
Re Croc Guy ! I have been trying to tell you all since day 1 ;)
Errrr, I am not sure you want too much of our programming, Aus has never produced a decent sitcom, ever ! :( Other shows yeah, sitcoms, well, it just doesn't seem to work :(

I was basing this poll on what other TV critic said in articles or polls. Not everyone Most of us will disagree with them. ;)

...but not until the second season, when he went from doofus (not good) to hipster-doofus (the K-Man we love). ;D
I'm glad to see Michael Richards finally find success. I remember seeing him pop-up in many pre-Seinfeld sitcoms (the ones after that Canadian SNL show) that were awful and failed. He was bad in them too.
Maybe if we keep trying we sometimes find success ? (then maybe not) ???

I still think M*A*S*H is the better show(especially the first three seasons), but Seinfeld is way up there.
By the way. . .

What about "Desperado"?
"It's Witchy Woman! Do you like it? I thought it could be our song!"
"Elaine, I already have my song."
"I thought we could share 'Desperado'."
"No. It's mine."
"Elaine, could you just not talk for one minute?"
"I'm still wondering as to why they gave us a sack of oranges."
