Duck Tales (I think that was 90s or was it 80s?)

DuckTales actually was late 80s; however, I watched it in the early 90s, when it was part of "The Disney AFternoon".

Anyway, some animated 90s shows I liked (some of which I still do):
Tiny Toon Adventures
Animaniacs
Pinky and the Brain
Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers
Talespin

also, The Simpsons.

I like most of the aforementioned cartoons myself, in addition to:

Goof Troop
101 Dalmatians: The Series
Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice

I kinda enjoyed that one too. Even though it was kinda weird-looking, it was funny in a way. Not one I would call a "favorite" though. ::) :-\

The old South Parks were the best!  They shouldn't have gotten rid of Tweak.  The Simpsons were alot better in the 90's too.

Remember when some of the popular music artists of the day had their own animated Saturday morning shows in the early 90's?  I used to watch the ones with New Kids on the Block and Kid n Play.  MC Hammer had one too, but I never say that.

The Snorks 1984-1988
I know this doesn't count at all but it's The Snorks! I hate the smurfs with a passion and this is the first cartoon I ever really watched as a child so I would be doing a great disservice to not give it acknowledgment in a cartoon thread

The Real Ghost Busters 1986-1991
It went into the 90's so I'm not sure if it really counts but damn if I didn't love and watch that all the time as a kid.

Pirates of Dark Water 1991-1993
I'm surprised no one else has said this. It was killed way to early and with 5 treasures left  :(

Ren & Stimpy 1991-1996
Classic retarded gross our humor and drawn disturbingly well.

X-Men 1992-1997
Cool powers and explosions combined with an anti-racism message.

Animaniacs 1993-1995
I can't believe this was only on two years. It was so funny that all the time I spent laughing makes it seem so much longer.

The Tick 1994-1996
SPOON!

Earthworm Jim 1995-1996
This cartoon was based on a great game and made a great show but like every cartoon I like it died a fast death.

Family guy 1999-2002
It died in 2002. Seth now beats the jokes so far into the ground they aren't funny.

Futurama 1999-2003
This show is so packed with every sci-fi joke, pun, and stereotype it's an instant classic.

I can't believe Garfield wasn't mentioned on here yet. Sure it started in 1988, but it aired in the early and mid-90's.

Garfield was the lasagna-loving cat who kicks Odie off the table and harasses Jon. Then there's other characters from 'U.S. Acres' (Now 'Orsons Farm') with Orson, the leader of the barnyard who loves books and has a Walter Mitty state of mind, (That means his imagination runs away from himself.) Wade who's more a Chicken rather than a Duck, Roy who's an unfunny Rooster, and so on.

This show was the reason why I stayed inside on a beautiful sunny Saturday!  :)

It's so hard to pick out the good shows from the 90s because, as everyone here knows, there were SO MANY. But the ones I watched most frequently were:

Voltron - even though the show was from the 80s, I watched it every day right after school for a long period of time. and now they have episodes on Boomerang, so I get to watch more!!
Thundercats - same as Voltron
SWAT Kats
Rocko's Modern Life
Ren & Stimpy
Ironman
The Incredible Hulk
X-Men
Dragon Ball Z
Captain Planet
A Pup Named Scooby Doo
Freakazoid
Anamaniacs
Rugrats
Transformers: Beast Wars

I'm sure there's more, but those are the ones that come to mind at this time.

Ah...the 90's, what a time to be a kid. I watched so many cartoons, and even got into the Simpsons and South Park toward 2000 (and yes, I wasn't even 10 yet)

Sonic the Hedgehog
Swat Kats
Freakazoid
DRAGONBALL Z (every late 90's kid loved it)
Reboot
Tiny Toons
Johnny Quest
Hey Arnold (kinda)
EARLY Rugrats (not the sheesh that came up with Dil)
AHHH! Real Monsters
ROCKET POWER
Ren and Stimpy of course
Kablam
ROCKO'S MODERN LIFE
and of course the oldies like the Flintstones, Tom and Jerry, Looney Tones, Scooby Doo, etc.

and as for shows -
Legends of the Hidden Temple
ALL THAT (the 90's stuff, not that new mentally retarded dookie)
KEENAN AND KEL!!

As I've said, I began watching South Park and the Simpsons later on as well, but only really got into them as a teen.

All that being said, I really feel bad for kids (the Gen "Zers" I guess) growing up with all this ilk on Nick and the Disney Channel (hell, not even cartoon network is a good alternative anymore like it was early in the decade). Shows like Spongebob and Zoey 101 are literally retarded, and I just dont understand how kids could find them entertaining (I certainly wouldn't have when I was younger). I think Gen Y was the last generation to experience a good childhood, while X was the last to experience a good pop culture, and the Boomers were the last ones to have a decent adulthood (funny thing is, these so called "progressives" are the sell-outs that put this country in the toilet in the first place).

There's one show that I can't remember.  It wasn't on for very long but I remember watching it.  It had three rats who were somewhat like the TNMT.  They walked on two feet, basically acted like humans.  The villians were two scientists one bigger one skinny.  Help please!

That's the only one I can think of that is somewhat like TMNT.

Do you mean the game show or the Saturday morning cartoon? The game show lasted from '91-'96, and the cartoon was around for a little while in the mid '90s. I actually liked both of them, but I loved the game show on PBS.

Used to watch it everyday :)

Here's some of my favorite cartoons/animated series from the 1990's:  :D

The Simpsons
South Park
Ren & Stimpy
Duckman
Rocko's Modern Life
The Tick
Beavis & Butt-Head
Aeon Flux
Celebrity Deathmatch
Liquid Television
Futurama
2 Stupid Dogs

My list would have The Simpsons on top, too.  :)

Futurama was also great, certainly.

Finally, Celebrity Deathmatch made me laugh sometimes. I was not a big fan, though. Same with South Park.

Hey, Im not sure if we're thinking of the same toon, but I'm also looking for the name of a toon about a teenage boy and aliens. It was done in the same/similar animation to Batman Beyond, and the main guy looks a bit like Terry (Batman) with dark hair and bright blue eyes I think. It's about this government conspiracy with aliens and FBI agents chasing after this kid because of something to do with his dad? Maybe... I remember him running through deserts and abondoned buildings and this one random agent was helping him control this new power he was developing...
If anyone has any idea what show this was, I'd be very grateful!

Does anyone remember a cartoon that was on Tv back in the early 90s, that was a bout a little man who lived in a wall?  The man was yellow I think and had blue or green shorts, and daily he would do stuff like have to avoid mice or rats and other stuff that was in the wall, and sometimes he would come out and the house cat might chase him, and I do also believe he had a makeshift skateboard device thing he made out of some junk he found.  It used to come on around the time of Inspector Gadget on some airwaves broadcast station.  I think the name of guy and or the show started with a G or at least had a G in the name.  Little yellow man, lived in a wall....

It's killing me.  Does anyone know the name of the cartoon where there were 3 superhero-esque brothers and the 4th had no powers?  I THINK it was on the WB around the same time The Tick originally aired.  The episode I REALLY remember had to do with the villain du jour ... which was an evil pair of underpants who took control of people's minds by "riding up".  They rendered him powerless at the end by breaking the band and thus eliminating his powers.

I think I'd have to agree about early Simpsons being amazing, still repeating the jokes today.
Ahhh! Real Monsters is simply brilliant too, and Beatlejuice was always a favourite of mine growing up.

I've been trying to think of one specific Sci-Fi cartoon all day though, lead me to the last 45mins looking all over the net and now to this thread,
I think it was late 90's and was on Sky One for anyone who lives in England/Ireland. It was called Battle Planets I thought, not Battle of the Planets however.
The story was basically about all of these worlds which had been at war and then they had to be become united to fight this other evil force which had a Huge planet eating planet.

Anyway, for the life of me I can't find the damn thing, was wondering if anyone else saw this show at all or if it was just me,
it didn't last long but I had toys of it so it must have been at least slightly popular.

Agreed

I remember someone on Youtube compared Captain N's Mega Man with the video game. Like how Cutman looked nothing like his game counterpart and had actual scissors on his head instead of the scissor like blade(called the Rolling Cutter). At least one or two robot masters looked similiar to the game(Bombman and Gutsman), but most of the others were just warped. The fact that they made Cutman seemingly invincible to their shots(where as in the game, Cutman is the most vunerable to them) and that his own weapon killed were other negatives.

Yeah, doesn't make sense to me either. . .I mean they did make Cut Man one of the "starter characters" as I call them in the game, he's far from invincible, and any time I play MM-1, Cut Man is being considered for my first direction (though sometimes I take Bomb Man instead)  . . .

Heyy!

ive been searching for a cartoon for sooo long... I don't think most people heard about it but I know it aired on Teletoon around 22h-22h30 in the late 90s. It was about a woman with double identity who needed some kind of green liquid contained in fials and stolen on shadowy creatures at night to survive. During the night, she wore black clothers and looked a bit like a "Masked Man". During the day, however, she was disguised as a male teacher with square glasses. She has really short hair and I remember she was in love with her co-worker.

does anyone remember that show? i'd appreciate the help :)
Thanks!

Subject: Need help with name of a cartoon

Written By: Cory on 05/29/09 at 8:56 pm

Hello all I'm looking for the name of an old cartoon that I believe was produced around the same time as iron man.  It could have been produced in the late 80s though.  It had a similar animation style as iron man.  I don't remember any names but I'll give the characters and some of the plot.

Plot:  A group of defenders crash land on earth early on in Earth's history.  They look human so they interbreed with the human population and eventually create half human half defenders.  Now the original defenders are looking for members the offspring of the half breeds.

They're being chased by a group of evil green aliens that can possess humans and defender aliens by putting a diamond on the forehead of their victim.  Throughout the series the defenders are trying to defeat the green aliens without being involved in too much of modern Earth.

Characters:

The leader of the group is currently a cyborg.  His body was severely damaged so he had his mind transferred to a cyborg.  In one episode his ex wife finds a way to put him back in his real body but after finding out he's the only one that can get through this radiation to save the rest of the team, he declines his ex wife's offer and saves the team.  He then says he won't give him his enhanced cyborg body until the green aliens are defeated.

Ninja Girl in Red with duel swords.  She was an original member when their ship crashed.  She kinda has a thing for the rogue character but would never admit it.  In the first episode I remember they're trying to save a guy and she cuts a full pipe in half.  The guy says "That's not humanly possible".  She says "whoever said we were human".  That was the line in the commercial promoting the series.

The rogue dude.  He kinda reminds we of Gambit from x-men.  He had a thing for the ninja girl.  I think he was also one of the original defenders that crash landed.  In one episode a friend or brother of his is in prison and is about to be released.  The warden wanted the friend to test out the security system so at 12:05 when he was a free man at 12:00, the friend broke out of the prison.  The friend eventually ends up working with the green aliens but the rogue character refuses to help him and has to fight him.

Giant Green Guy.  Kind of a sub character at least in the episodes that I recall.  He could grow in size or shrink in size when he wanted.  Kinda looked like an ape in a costume

Cute short girl in purple.  She was either dated or married to the giant green guy before they were found by the original 3 defenders.  She could remove the green aliens from possessed people by some telekinetic process by zapping the diamond on the forehead with her mind.  In one episode the team goes to antarctica and she says "I should have brought my thermal underwear.

The last half human half defender member was a martial arts guy in black.  His ability was to create sharp weapons from his body.  In the first episode the green aliens are looking for him to possess him but the Ninja girl and the team save him from the green aliens.  She cuts the pipe and he's the one that says that's not humanly possible from above.

Finally, there was a human that discovered the green aliens and how they wanted to take over earth so he's the one that got the original defenders together and worked with them to identify half human half defender people and save them from the green aliens.

That's all I can remember about the series.  Any help in getting a name would be great.

So, I've been trying to remember the name of a cartoon I used to watch when I was younger.  Not sure if anyone remembers the cartoon but it was a group of people, around 8 or 9 of them I think... maybe less... but they wore these red suits.  They were originally human but were each in some accident and were given robotic parts and each one had different powers... I can't for the life of me remember the name of the cartoon.  All I remember is one episode had these two bad-guys which were brothers... one was negatively charged energy, the other was positive...

I am a 91 baby and I love almost all of the already mentioned shows and cartoons.
Rugrats was my absolute favorite.
even though they werent animated Eureeka's Castle and Boy Meets World.
X-men, TMNT and Gargoyles (I was a tomboy).
And of course anything Disney.
If I did a list it would go on forever

I don't agree with the shows kids watch nowadays even the toddler shows are horrible. Wonder pets?? how is a show where the duck has a lisp good for toddlers growth and development? The wiggles... personally I think they are scary. And shows like Zoey 101, Hannah Montana, and Jonas are just teaching girls that life should revolve around dating, hot boys, and being as "attractive" as the people on TV and that boys should be rude and beable to basically use any girl there is.
90's shows were full of imagination and adventure and the shows that are on now are unintelligent, and dumb. Oh and what happened to Nick slime and face?? Almost every non-animated show on Nick had slime in it. Theres my little rant about todays television.

"Batman: the Animated Series" and "Pirates of Dark Water." End of line. I know there were a sheeshton of other cartoons I watched in the nineties (and would eagerly watch if they came on again), but I remember those two being absolute, utter favourites.

Oh, and there was this other show, kind of like Road Rovers or Swat Kats, that had these cyborg, anthro dinosaur dudes in it... all I remember is one particular episode where they were attacked by mutant mosquitoes or something and they rubbed chunks of cactus on them to make the bites feel better. There was a pterosaur, possibly a tyrannosaur... maybe a triceratops... I remember watching it during the summer, Monday through Friday, early in the morning, like maybe six or six-thirty. I think I was, like, six or seven when it was on, so that'd be about... '97, '98. No, it had to be six-thirty because I left the house for my aunt and uncle's at seven and ate breakfast at six, and it was always after breakfast. I don't remember what channel it was on, but I think it was Cartoon Network? Maybe not. I don't recall...

Speaking of 90's cartoons, does anyone else feel the Simpsons took a nosedive during 1997-1998.  Mike Scully took over as executive producer and the show went into a direction full of convoluted plots, fart jokes, and homer being more stupid than he already was.  I've been a fan from the beginning, and I still watch the show to it's day, but I felt the golden age of the Simpsons was from season 1-8/9.

The newer episodes are different, but I still like some of them.

Sounds almost like Dinosaucers, but I'm not completely certain.

I'm trying to think of a show... I don't remember what it was called. Floyd or something? It had a teenager in it. I think most of the characters in the show were aliens. The teenager was green.
Anybody know what I'm talking about? I remember watching it when I was younger.

Oh, and I know it didn't quite make it into the 90's, but I really liked As Told By Ginger.  :)
AAAAAAND!!! I didn't see PB&J Otter in here. What's that all about? That show was AMAZING! haha
Then there was Sabrina: The Animated Series. I used to love that. It started in 1999.  ;D
Then I'm not sure if this was in the 90's or not, but my favorite show used to be The Weekenders on disney. Anybody remember that? That show was BOMB!

I cannot believe someone had the nerve to put hannah montana on this page! For one she didn't have a show in the nineties and her show is not a cartoon, let alone the fact that it is HORRIBLE!!!! The person should feel ashamed of themselves!

EXACTLY! If Hannah Montana had been a show in the 90's, it would've been shunned for its stupidity. But because it was made recently with the young audiences of today willing to accept whatever disney puts on TV, it has not been shunned. Only the people who know what quality telivision is(Cartoons that are actually FROM the 90's) know to stay AWAY from this show about americas "pop princess". BLECH!
It's not even a cartoon! So why put in on here?

Like totally. So, like totally give her like some like junk to like calm her nerves, ya know? Like totally. EXTREME OVERUSAGE OF THE WORD LIKE SHOULD BE A CRIME! Ugh. It's so stupid. There are other words in the english language you know.

Hey Cory,

The show you are thinking about is  WILD C.A.T.S. Like so many good action shows it was cancelled before it came to its natural end.

Okay, one good turn deserves another.

I cannot put a name to this show. Two brothers invented a new nanotechnology which would revolutionize human life. The older brother decided to use it to enslave mankind, merged with it, and became an evil cyborg. The good brother and his friends fought against the bad brother and his cyborg minions. Oh, and one of the cyborg's first victims was a dog which was later rescued by the good guys and named Caliban.

Any ideas?

Everytime someone came to their house for investigations or whatever purpose they would dress up like humans do. Any help would be amazing! It's been eating away at me for quite sometime :)

Heyy!

ive been searching for a cartoon for sooo long...

Thanks!

I miss that show so much!
I always used to watch it, I've been looking for the name for like ever.
If anyone knows the name it would be much appriciated. <3

Anyway, for the life of me I can't find the damn thing, was wondering if anyone else saw this show at all or if it was just me,
it didn't last long but I had toys of it so it must have been at least slightly popular.

it was awesome and was called war planets in the US

Can someone please tell me the name of a cartoon show that had anthromorphic dogs? It was about a detective's assistant, I think, who always had to fill in for his boss because he got injured a lot. He had the help of four kids, and occasionaly the local waitress. One of the criminals only had three fingers and dressed in a zoot suit. Another one was a rich bulldog who always had two muscly guys with him. At the end of each episode his boss would take all the credit, I think the main character's name was Casey, but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Yeahh, The Secret World of Alex mack was a good show (though, like you said, not animated). Some other 90's live-action Nick shows I enjoyed were Clarissa Explains it All, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo (can't find much info on this one anywhere, but it was so good!). I vaguely remember The Mask cartoon you are talking about and I don't remember the Ace Ventura one at all  :o. I used to also watch Beetlejuice, Freakazoid, and so many others!

Was it "Rollie Pollie Ollie?" It aired on Disney until maybe 4-5 years ago. Not sure if it's the one you're thinking about because it was computer animated, not a cartoon.

I remember more today there was a bunch of alien kids and the show kinda followed their lives at school etc.  The opening had them playing baseball in space and then the maid or nanny calls for him and he leaves.  And yes it was animated.

Hey...while we are discussing old television shows...I have a quick question.
Does anyone remember a really old television show that played in the early 90s, about a dragon who lived in the forest and two children came to visit him? I think there was a bird couple who lived there too and there was a real grumpy crab apple tree that liked to cause trouble. One episode that I remember was that one of the kids ate an apple from the grumpy tree and it put her in a bad mood all day. This is driving me crazy because I used to watch it when it was on and then it was just gone and now I can't find anything about it anywhere and my husband thinks I'm making it up.

Jesus, has no one said Invader ZIM? I haven't seen it. As twisted as it was, I was, like, 5, and loved the show. Still do. Wish Jhonen wouldn't have sold the rights, maybe it'd still be on if he hadn't. Or was it better that he did, so it didn't become worthless trash (Like the new Spongebobs)? I don't know. Just miss it.

Invader Zim isn't a 90's show. It's an early 00's show. 2001 to be exact. The last time I saw it was in 2002.

I used to watch a cartoon (on fox i believe) it was about these guys who climbed inside robots to fight, much like gundam but i think they only used swords?  :-\\ one of the characters had wings like an angel. I went on wikipedia and got a list of all the animated cartoons of the 90's, went through the list one by one and researched all the names i thought it COULD be with no luck. there was this show, it might have only been on a few episodes. it was on wb or upn or one of those channels later in the night, i recall it being a guy, and whenever he got angry, like a vein in his head popped or just started strangling him, and by the end he was always like, on the verge of death ^^ anyone know?

Hi, was trawling the internet trying to remember the same thing then I saw your post and it came to me.... The show was Stressed Eric!

Earthworm Jim

Earthworm Jim was too clever for a computer game character cartoon. It had that knowing sense of surreal humour for adults.  8)

I used to watch 'Darkwing Duck' and 'Samurai Pizza Cats' in the very early 90s. I think S.P.Cs was a definite attempt to rival Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (even says in the song intro; "they have more fur than any turtle ever had"  ;D).

Two more that haven't been mentioned:
Sherlock Holmes in the 21st Century
Soni the Hedgehog and Sonic: Underground
Oh and Mega Man
Oh and Ultimate Muscle(I think)
ALot of anime fromt he 90's didn't get here to well after.

I can’t for the life of me think of the name of the cartoon. It seemed to be a cross between thundar the barbarian and the legend of Zelda. The hero had a sword, I believe he had a pet phoenix.  The bad guys were snake people. And when he stabbed them with the sword they would “die” disappear.

I’ve been trying to figure this one out for about 3 years, I think I might be losing my mind. I need some help

all i remember is it was a cartoon, yet the faces were animated to look almost like real faces (if that makes sense)
there was a rich snobby blond curly hair girl who was like the antagonist

i feel like a character's name was something along the line of angolica jolica
or something, if anyone can help me that'd be super awesome!!!!

I'm looking for a computer animated show sort of like beast wars, that aired around the same time, it used that same kind of technology but it wasn't animals it was people living in a city . I know thats not much info , but i remember watching it in the 90's dunno if it was on for that long.

That was Reboot made by Mainframe who also made Beast Wars, donkey Kong and a few others.

I'm trying to remember two shows They aired on UPN like late in the morning This first one I found the name of but forgot it. It's live action 3D. About a group of kids who used to hangout in a junkyard and in the pilot/1st episode there where a meteor shower so they hid in a bunch of cars and the radiation combine dthem with the cars sort of like a Transformers style accept they couldn't turn into a vehicle.  They needed gas to keep functioning and fought these villians led by a dragon who could turn into a robot. They did this every night and had to be back at the junkyard by morning to keep their secret. The name of the show was something like Autovampires or something like that. The other show which aired before it was a 3d style anime (might even be exosquads, theres like eleventybillion giant mech anime outh there) these people piloted these mechs for a sport(like Zoids S2) that took place in an arena and it was a televised show within the series. One thing a remember is they always used the mechs propulsion wheels to get around instead of walking them. Those are the wqheels some mechs have attatched to the ankles they use for quick movement vs walking(most mechs like certain gundams and mega dueces can't run).

Hey, folks!

I'm having a REALLY hard time finding this show. I went through ALL the pages here and no one has brought it up.

All I remember was that it was a (possible) 90's animated show where ships were in a fleet, and in the right corner of the screen, a head would appear and tell you when to put on your 3D glasses (which no one ever had, I'm sure).

It is NOT Exo Squad, and it is NOT The Bots Master. However, EXO Squad does remind me a lot of the show.

Unfortunately, all I can remember is the 3D ships - so if anyone has any idea to what show I'm talking about, please help! I'll check here regularly for responses.

Thanks in advanced.

There was a cartoon i can barely remember, and haven't been able to use the right keywords in google to find it.

what i remember is a red car that transforms to a humanoid, and combined with at least 4 other military type vehicles maybe.  or he was a separate bot altogether.  catch is, it's not transformers, and not power rangers.  this was early 90s, sometime between '90 and '96.  I remember it would be on fox.

anyone have any clue what im talking about?

So I need some help (PLEEEEASE!) I can't remember the name of the TV show and it's bothering me. All I remember of it is that it was about household appliances who would "wake up" in the night when everyone was asleep. It had Pencils, Tooth Brushes, Toasters, Dish Cloths, Books, Mops, Everything! I can't for the life of me figure out what it was called! Please help!

And I'm still trying to figure this one out.

...ring a bell to the original poster, you nailed it - that's them.

"On Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m., Fox will air Space Goofs. This show was formerly called Home to Rent but was renamed at close to the last minute. The show stars five alien monsters who reside in the attic of an abandoned home and spend their time scaring potential renters. No doubt inspired by Nickelodeon's Ahhh! Real Monsters, this is the first European import produced by France's Gaumont Multimedia in association with ProSieben (Germany) and France 3 to pierce the U.S. market."

That was Reboot made by Mainframe who also made Beast Wars, donkey Kong and a few others.

I'm trying to remember two shows They aired on UPN like late in the morning This first one I found the name of but forgot it. It's live action 3D. About a group of kids who used to hangout in a junkyard and in the pilot/1st episode there where a meteor shower so they hid in a bunch of cars and the radiation combined them with the cars sort of like a Transformers style accept they couldn't turn into a vehicle.

That show there was called Vanpires. I found it on a website for 90's shows. I wish I book marked it.

Hey I'm trying to find out the name of a show. People in big robots (i kind of remeber them as tankish) fighting in arenas, the main character stole a robot and took it into the arena. He does well and becomes a part of the team he stole the robot from. I think the robots might have been called Gears or something like that but i'm not sure.
If anyone can tell me what this show is it would be great.
Thanks.

This is going to be the most vague description you'll lay your eyes on, but I'm at the point where I've watched every cartoon intro and I'm starting to believe I created this cartoon myself!

I knew a lot more about the show before I was internet savvy but now all I remember is that in the intro there was a very fat round cat that maybe zoomed into the cat and there was houses or it zoomed out from street view and found the earth was a cat. Or it was plugging a hole, maybe it was just sitting in a crater, my mind is so scrambled!

From what I remember from the intro, this cartoon was kind of surreal and more adult like than for kids although I watched it at like 5 so I'm having a hard time remembering in anything else :/ A kind of Aeon Flux style (which also was on my list for about ten years to be found) I know this is vague but any reply with a show that had a fat (gigantic) cat in the intro, I'll follow any lead at this point!

It  was a show about a guy and his family were abducted by aliens that wanted to invade earth and given these diamonds that opened up when activated and they would get into these robot armor suits. the main characters suit was mostly white in color and in a battle his jewel was destroyed and his comrades put the pieces together and he would then have to jump in to a robot to activate his suit. The main character had i think a staff for a weapon and his shoulder pads/armor opened up and shot out a bunch of missiles. email me please if need be i really need the title to this cartoon. it was made somewhat like an anime. vonrestless@aol.com Thanks!

I know the one you mean, i just found it; i used to watch it when i was little and it was bugging the hell out of me too. It's 'Starla and the Jewel Riders', sun stone, moon stone and Heart stone, 3 worrior girls protecting a magic kingdom. Just type the title into google and it should come up with loads.

There's loads of shows on here that i remember, i loved my era the 90's! God it seems such a long time ago!

Hey does anyone remember a show that was all computer characters, with names like mouse and so on. It wasn't exactly a cartoon it was more early 3d animation. The characters had blue and green skin etc?

Voltron? Was that the Alien one, with all the different element characters, rock, fire, ice, and that techology women? Again that was techno animation than cartoon.

Hope that first part helped, any help with the other two would be apprieciated, Thanks,
Nikki.

Theres this magic school or something and the teacher is this old guy that has this gem mirror. two of the students, brother and sister each steal a gem from the mirror and the gems they steal have some fire magic. The old guy sends the rest of the gems either thru the mirror or scatters them across the land. Then the other students come to help the old guy and he ends up dyeing but not before he gives the other students a gem. at some point in time there is a girl that always wears rollerblades.

early to mid 90's i would get up at 5am to shower and catch the morning cartoons on the science fiction channel (as everything else these days it has been shortened because average attention span doesnt last through a single full word) and due to head injuries i seriously have very little memory of any of those cartoons. i do remember transformers, ronin warriors and another one with a giant robot and a kid controlling it from a briefcase...name isnt coming at the moment, but there were other cartoons that played too and for the life of me i cannot remember a thing about them. i do remember that said cartoons made it easy for me to get up hours earier than i had to for school and would like to find them again. started at 5am (i think after some science fiction soap) on the sci-fi channel...... help ease an aging kid-at-heart with the names of the shows.....LOL

It was on in England around 1993-5, and I'm pretty sure it was an American series so it was probably on around that time too in the USA.
I thought it was Swamp Thing but apparently that was only 5 episodes.
The intro credits had a green monster coming out of a swamp, and the music was Wild Thing by The Troggs, or at least a cover of it.
I mean it must be something like Swamp Thing, but it ran for a lot longer than 5 episodes.

Good list

GOt to ask, does anyone remember an anime being on Sky in the late 90's
It involved wars between the elements and each having thier own planet being attacked by what i think were the 'Shadows' (they were dark)
The main character was an ex-Rock warrior, an Ice ant thing, and a Fire Prince

Omg have you figured this out yet, I'm trying my best to remember it too, but i can't at all. I've been googling it for the past hour+

I figured it out.

1995.

Space Strikers.

UPN & Fox.

Thank you.

Well-done, and thanks for helping save something from obscurity. Even knowing the answer (thanks to you!), all I can find about this show are a few screengrabs:

...and this Italian commercial for the toys, which also shows a few snippets of the CGI:

TOhZd-hs3wU

  - Space Strikers, aka 20,000 Leagues in Outer Space.

If anyone remembers anything about this show, and especially if you happen to have an old dusty VHS tape kicking around, do what comes naturally on the YouTubes. You probably have one of the last copies in existence.

Thanks! Haha. It feels like such a weight off of my shoulders - even though it's completely irrelevant now.

It wasn't until I saw this screen grab did I *KNOW* the show was Space Strikers:

But yeah, there's hardly anything online about it at all. Everything I've seen is just from this site:
http://www.toonarific.com/show_pics.php?show_id=3392

But there's nothing available that I can find about this show.

In other words, precisely the sort of obscure stuff we specialize in around here!

Part of the reason may be that it didn't originate in on UPN.  TV Tropes has Space Strikers as coming out of France from Metropole Production, distributed here by Saban.

Wikipedia and IMDB have it being directed by Bruno Bianchi, which is interesting, because Bruno's Wikipedia page has him as having directed Around the World in 80 Dreams in 1992, another Jules Verne-inspired title.

But there's nothing available that I can find about this show.

Not quite nothing!  I wondered what 20,000 Leagues In Space would be if it were in French, and that got me to this list of Space Strikers Episodes ... in French.  But Google Translate will do a pretty good job with the titles, and you might even remember which episodes were associated with the screengrabs.

90s + mecha + CGI?  How about Heavy Gear: The Animated Series, brought to you by Mainframe Entertainment?

8KQdl5k3y0E

If that's not it, but the animation looks familiar, check out the names in the credits, and/or the people who worked on Reboot, Beast Wars, and other earlier Mainframe productions?

(And if that is it, boy, are you in for a treat! Heavy Gear episodes are available online fer free :)

Thats the show I was describing. It aired on UPN Before Vanpires and 3rd Rock From The Sun(which was like 11:00, 11:30, and 12:00pm) Mara, I'm sure thats what you were looking for. If not, that's the show I was looking for. Oh she agreed. LOL I got excited and replied before reading the rest of the page.

I was wondering when someone was going to mention Ahh!!!! Real Monsters? I remember that from my days of sitting in front of the idiot box and watching YTV when it was new I also watched it on Teletoon.  :) I wish that Nick would air it here in Canada but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen?

Does anyone remember the show about a billionaire (I think) who was secretly the pilot of a giant robot???? I know that's not a lot to go on but the only scene I remember is where he is in a dark tunnel where he is confronted by a woman. He also carries a briefcase...
