Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh This show kicks... :-X!!!
It's one of the greatest cartoons from the 1990's. Some of my favorite episodes was when they washed Tom Anderson's dog, some "Cornholio" episodes, the second holiday episode with the parodies of "A Christmas Carol" & "It's A Wonderful Life", and when they can't laugh when certain words are said. :D
It's now on MTV2 with the music video bits.

I have a Beavis & Butthead plastic scuplture on top of my TV.
Whenever I press the TV remote control, the sculpture plays classic B&B lines like:
"Shut up, you fartknocker!"
"Whoa... That was pretty cool."
"Change the channel. This sucks!"
Fun stuff. :D

One thing's always puzzled me:
Why do they always say 'fartknocker'? How exactly does one knock a fart? Of course, I just realized it might mean 'knockin' a fart out of someone', but what's insulting about that?
Oh yeah, anyone remember the one where they forgot how to urinate? :D

Favorite video bits:
*Vanilla Ice: Ice Ice Baby
they just look at each other a few times, then without a word, they change the channel
*this one where a guy's wearing a dress and rockin' out, I forget the name of the group and song...
Butthead: Maybe he's wearing a dress cuz he's got a long **... huh huh huh huh
Beavis: I wouldn't mind having a long ** butthead, you know why? It makes a good shield for your n@d$, hmhm heh.
Butthead: Uhh, I guess so. But being kicked in the **'s no picnic either.
Beavis: No no, it doesn't hurt at all, see, watch.... KICK!
Butthead's face turns bright red and he screams!
Beavis: See, that didn't hurt, did it?... Oh yeah I forgot, you got a small **, nyeheheheh!!!(classic!) Why didn't Butthead ever do that same exact thing to Beavis?????
*Color Me Badd: I Wanna Sex You Up
They scream and make barfing sounds!
*Butthead: Manly yes, but Beavis likes it too! Huhuhuhuhuhuhuh!
Beavis: SHUT UP! I'll kick your @$$!
*Butthead: You know what video I'd like to see some t**ds in? Hootie & the blowfish!
Beavis: Oh yeah, 'with a little love' >poop!< 'a little tenderness' >plop plop!<
*A video from Rancid is playing:
BH: It's funny, cuz like you know, even though this video's probly real old, they still look like a bunch of regular guys...
Bv: Oh shut up.
BH: Uh ok. Um, wait, what did you just say?
Bv: I said shut up. I'm sick and tired of listening to your cr@p.
BH: Uh, beavis... I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that.
Bv: Yea yea, I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear you; SHUT UP. Heh heh.
*A video with a naked guy(blocking himself) in a white background:
BH: Hey beavis, did you know that when you're born, you're naked?
Bv: Uhh, no. Why is that?
BH: Well, uh... *at this time, the background reveals dozens of naked women, blocking themselves*
BH: WHO0O0A!! THEY'RE ALL NAKED!!!
Bv: There's another one! AND THERE'S ANOTHER ONE!!!1
BH: This is the coolest video I have ever seen.
*A video with a puppet of a guy's face, which the hands slowly start tearing to shreds:
Bv&BH: AAAAAAA! WH0A!
BH: This is the coolest video I've ever seen.... of course, if it had like big 8008s, that'd be pretty cool, too, huhuh...
Bv: Yeah and you can tear them off too! YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!!
BH: NO, DUMB@$$, you wanna keep the 8008s on there!
Bv: Oh yeah, heh.
*Plantman:
BH: darn it, this Nickelodeon cr@p has gone too far!
*Another mediocre video:
Beavis is holding in his breath, which jars an intellectual moment, and thus causing him to give a thourough review of the video; one line is: "It speaks less to the heart, and more to the sphincter"... Butthead slaps him.
Bv: Whoa, what happened?
BH: You held your breath and started talking like a dumb@$$... but you did say spincter, huhuh.
Bv: Whoa! Um, it's pronounced 'SFEENK-ter', Butthead.

Sergeant: Sir, this is the trailer we caught the two perpetrators jacking off in.

I loved this series. I lost a tape that had a few of the older episodes on it. I seem to remember a 2 part episode where they ride down to Mexico with a guy named Dave. As they approach the border, going back into the US, Dave tells the boys "it's time to earn your keep, look in the glove box." Butthead opens the glove box to find 2 condoms. Butthead says to Beavis "oh no Dave's gonna boof us." Dave ends up telling B&B they are for smuggling pills. They swallow the condoms with the pills inside, but don't bother to tie the open end of the rubber. By the time they reach the border patrol, B&B are completely messed up, and hillarity ensues. I wish I could find my old tape. :\'(

::) There were two guys from Mira Mesa High school in San Diego whose nick names are "Beavis and Butthead"
NAte Mangum (Beavis) and Eric Thorpe (Butt-Head)
In that episode called "Closing time", They were using the night crawlers as the seasoned curly fries and Nate and Eric were mocking that episode. Eric was headbanging like uh-uh-uh-uh while swinging his head up and down. Nate said "Hey eric check out these night crawlers I found in the parking lot"
Eric: Whoa! Eric to the mic : Da-da da-da da-da-da-da-daaa Night Crawler. Nate followed it too!

So many great moments...
One time, B & B were watching TV, and two women were making out.
Butthead: "Check it out, Beavis...Libyans!"
Beavis: "Yeah! Yeah! Libyans are cool!"
There was another episode where they walked into an Army recruiting office, and the recruiter (named Sgt. Dick Leaky) convinced them to join the Army. He had them sign the papers and was all ready to ship them off to boot camp whern he noticed they had signed under the names "Major Woody" and "Private Parts."
My favorite character was the hardcore ex-Marine teacher named Mr. Buzzcut. In one episode the principal was fed up at Beavis and Butthead for laughing in class all of the time, and he warned them that if they got caught laughing one more time they'd get kicked out of school. Mr. Buzzcut caught wind of this, and decided he'd torture Beavis and Butthead a little bit. He stood up in front of the class and barked out in his drill sergeant's voice, "Today we're going to talk about the PENIS! And, the VAGINA!" Then he got right up in Beavis and Butthead's faces and yelled, "And, if we have time, we'll even talk about MAS-TUR-BATION!!!" After the bell rang, Beavis and Butthead ran outside and started laughing and hyperventilating at the same time.
I miss this show!

I love Beavis & Butthead - slightly ashamed to admit it sometimes, but it's true!
Just to get the discussion rolling again, how do you think Buzzcut got a job at the school in the first place? I always get a kick out of it when he gets all p**sed-off (especially at B+BH), but obviously, with his temper and always threatening to kick the kids' butts, he'd get fired in an instant in real life.
On the same level, I always liked how they thought Todd was cool even though he usually beat the cr@p out of them - especially Beavis. They probably thought if they made friends with him, they could do it too (i.e. with Stewart).
Still, I agree, if they got back at Todd in the end, that'd have been cool. I wonder what was up with him and his severe dislike of them.
PS: Remember the Halloween episode where Beavis -- during his Cornholio stage -- gets stopped by Todd? He & his buddies are about to kick his butt when they move onto ButtHead, just for laughing at it. I know it was for the storyline, but why'd they totally forget about Beavis all of a sudden? LOL.

^ Oddly enough, I've never seen Daria's show, although I recall it from 1997 or so.
Just watching some more of my taped episodes right now - one of the funniest things is when Burger World is busy around lunchtime, the manager calls their house. Butt-Head picks up and pretends he's Beavis just 'cause he doesn't want to go into work himself. I don't think I've ever laughed that hard in awhile. :D
SPOILERS
Did you see that one where they prank call a guy named "Harry Sachz"? The guy gets madder every time, and when he calls them back pretending to have a pizza, the B's give him Stewart's address? Well, needless to say, Harry busts in the door and goes for Stewart's dad. But, wouldn't he recognize that it wasn't the same voice (Beavis did say "You suck!" and Butt-Head talked to him for a minute about the pizza)?
You'd think he'd have been convinced it was Stewart - but it was far funnier (and less scary) a huge guy like that going after his dad, LOL.

1: The first year animation sucked
2: That AFAIK all the episodes where Beavis says " Fire " are no longer aired
3: The " Spanish Fly " epsisode. The exchange I remember went like this:
( setting school cafeteria, lunch is tacos- they have aquired " Spanish Fly " )
Butthead: Umm, Beavis, if you like abstract a chick I'll stick it in her taco.
Beavis: I thought you had to give her the Spanish Fly first
Butthead ( smacks Beavis ): What the hell did you think I was talking about buttplug?
The ONLY time I ever heard them use " Buttplug ".
The movie was great, but South Park rules now. Even Terrance and Phillip are funnier than Beavis and Butthead ( especially the South Park Movie )

Yeah, they usually are "positive" in a really really twisted way on "South Park". B&B isn't really positive or negative: it's just dumb. But genius too 8)
Early "South Park" wasn't so smart and pop-culture filled. It was mostly talking turkeys and killing Kenny.

Early "South Park" wasn't so smart and pop-culture filled. It was mostly talking turkeys and killing Kenny.
Well, the first aired episode of " South Park " was Cartman's " @nal Probe ", which had no moralistic view.Agreed, not so smart. Just an 80 ft sattelite dish coming from Cartman's a$$ and him setting things on fire with his farts ( for the most part ). ;D
Killing Kenny is the only real constant in the show ( few exceptions/seasons ).
Agreed as well, B&B was totally dumb but genious as well. :)

^ Good points. South Park started out even dumber, more for shock value.
I actually do think B & B proved a point with some of their shows, even if it was less obvious. Remember that one with the P.A.T. kids and their dad picking them up from detention and trying to get them to pick up garbage on the side of the highway?
They just start playing catch with an old hubcap and it knocks the dad out. When his kid gets upset -- thinking it killed him -- Butthead just takes his wallet, then they leave and don't even care. Of course, the guy lives (that would be a pretty depressing show if he didn't) but - even though that was funny in a dark way - I do think it kind of proved a point about how some really dump people wouldn't have feelings about some things no matter what.
On that note, what I think is true throughout is that - while they're dumb, the show itself is not.

I really haven't seen much B&B but you're probably right. A lot of dumb shows are smart on the inside.
Don't you think "Beavis and Butthead" is sort of nostalgic a way South Park will never be?

Definitely. Even in 1997, I was starting to become nostalgic for 1994 (but in 2000 - or even now - I'm not nostalgic for '97 at all. I might miss something I did then, or want to go back for personal reasons, but I don't miss 1997 for the year itself).
There's even a tinge of 80's in B & BH since they're still rockers/metalheads. I think the huge culture shift we both agree on -- from 1996 to '97 -- was detrimental to the B's success. On the other side of that shift, it made the show start seeming dated, whereas South Park, even after almost 8 years, doesn't seem that way.

Agreed 100% :)
I think South Park is technically a better show, but I like Beavis and Butt-head better because of its nostalgic charm and also because it isn't so loaded with gore. I can't remember a gory scene on Beavis and Butt-head. I'd guess at most they have a couple bloody scenes. I do love South Park too though, I just don't like the vibe of 1997-2005 it gives. You could almost make a case for saying the Zero Decade started in 1997.

I reckon that Beavis and Butthead do America far outweighs a majority of their episodes..............
The concept that 2 dumbasses are suspected as criminal masterminds is hilarious............and all of this eventuates from the fact that their TV gets stolen and they go out and try to get another.
Awesome film :D

Yeah. And the total irony is, the TV they do end up getting is their old one. :D
^ Slightly banged-up perhaps, partly from the thieves and just the elements, but theirs nonetheless!
I know it's just a movie, but they must've been gone at least, say two weeks - I'm surprised no one else stole it in that time it was just sitting there in plain sight, LOL!

I remember an episode where they were working in a restaurant and they used Nightcrawlers as French fries. :P
Howard
I remember one episode when they couldn't urinate. They saw some sort of doctor and then all of a sudden they urinated. She told them to stop but they couldn't.
