Subject: Help! Top 10 Movies

Written By: Alicia on 5/22/2001 at 8:47 p.m.

Hey!
I'm doing a project for school about the 90's. I need to know the exact top 10 movies, in the box offices that made the most $$ for the 1900s. If anyone has this, or have time to look it up, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, there was this small film from France by George Melies (I think it was called From The Earth To The Moon) which The Smashing Pumpkins used as inspiration for their "Tonight" music video. It was a smash hit around the world. Then there was The Great Train Robbery, The Mummy, Les Vampires, Nosferatu, and Birth Of A Nation. In the 1920s, there were myriad films being made domestically and abroad with such actors as Buster Keaton, Charles Chaplin, Greta Garbo, Rudolph Valentino, etc. I don't think they kept any box office tabulations back then, but these films were renown and still remain renown in the film industry. As for 90s movies, these are too easy to find, so you can probably handle that.
