Subject: The Nihilistic 90s
Yes, those crazy days of yesteryear. The 20th century. The last decade of the century was a very dark one in my opinion. The happiness of the free 70s was gone, the flamboyance and excess of the 80s was gone. All that was left was feelings of isolation and fear. The things that stand out for me the most are: the suicide of Kurt Cobain, OJ Simpson, the dawn of the internet, Columbine massacre, Clinton scandal, grunge, post-punk rock (Green Day, Rancid, Offspring). Well, there you go.
