Subject: Suede: 80s or 90s band?
I was having a bit of an argument with a coworker regarding the British band Suede. I thought this band was a 90s band, but she insisted they recorded music back in the eighties. I own all their US albums and none of them have a song copyrighted or recorded earlier than the early 90s. If Suede is an 80s band, what did they record back then? Can it be bought as an import (is it still in print?)?

They formed in 89 and release of their first single, "The Drowners" in 1992.

So, I guess that would make them a 90s band(?) - since the actual formation of a band shouln't really count, or else that would make The Cure, The Clash, Depeche Mode, and many renown "80s bands" actual 70s bands...right?
