My younger brother used to mad on them. I never really understood the fascination with them (on a par with marbles for me).

Back in the day I was fascinated with the entire concept. When I look back at them today, I never understand why I liked them so much.

Pogs were great! I remember kids at my school who had over a thousand atleast.  I had a collection of myself (I remember haveing Free Willy pogs), but my dad threw them out after the fad ended! I wish he never did that!

I think they were so popular is because they were so cheap! Ten cents a pog, A buck or two for a slammer (I remember everyone thought slammers with the saw blade design on the outside was the best type to have)!

Like all fads at our school, "keepsies" were soon banned and that was the whole point, so the fun was lost and the fad ended. Not to worry, a few years latter, Tamagotchis arrived (I never had one of those  :'() but that's another topic.

I used to have a ton of these things.  I never quite figured out what they were for.  I don't know what happened to them.
